"On the plus side, our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. King size bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and chatty. My breakfast of cereal, lovely selection of fresh fruit, fruit compotes, yoghurt, croissants and pastries was excellent. Free parking at the rear. On the minus side, my husbands scrambled egg was pale and solid. The television in our room would not work as the aerial lead was all frayed, But worst of all, the kareoke just underneath our window went on till 11.45pm. The staff warned us of this, and gave us ear plugs, but it was impossible to sleep through it. In spite of the kareoke, I thought it was good value for money."

"Het is een heel sfeervol huisje. Het is goed ingericht met alles wat je nodig hebt. Voor ons voldeed de begane grond zeker, maar we vonden de slaapverdieping, waar ook de badkamer is, wat minder comfortabel. Genoeg vloeroppervlak, maar door de schuine wanden met balken voelde dat iets minder ruim. Wij vonden dat een minpuntje, maar niet iedereen zal dat een bezwaar vinden. Wij hebben er verder een prettig verblijf gehad in een rustige omgeving."

"We loved the cosiness of this very ‘sweet’ cottage! Tucked away in a small village near Banbury but with access to all sorts of places including Stratford upon Avon , Oxford and the Cotswolds, we were able to go out and sightsee every day. The village itself had history tucked away in its lovely church and the interesting Tithe Barn. After all these adventures it was very pleasant to come home to make supper with the help of a well stocked kitchen. In the mornings we loved sitting outside at the small table and chairs in the lovely garden. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make this a very pleasant place to stay. And also Red Kite have been very helpful even when I left some items behind they found them and offered to forward them. Highly recommend this sweetheart cottage!"

"Monastery Barn is a wonderful Cotswold cottage. There was everything we needed too with the fridge stocked up with some exciting treats!The layout downstairs means it’s a perfect place for a family get together- a very social space with a pretty garden. Excellent communication from the hosts and would love to return!"

"We used this as a base for a nearby multi-day county golf tournament. It was perfect for our needs providing a warm, comfortable and exceptionally quiet home where we could rest and reset after our long days out on the course. Our host was helpful throughout. From the initial enquiry, thru the early check-in, and the return visit to collect forgotten items! Nothing was too much trouble."
