"My husband and kids stayed for one night at this motel. When we checked in, they realized that they did not have a double bed room ready for us, because they had an unexpected group of people purchase a block of rooms the same night. However, the owner was extremely apologetic and made things right. They quickly cleaned a double bed room for us and ensured there were extra amenities including a coffee maker with supplies and a breakfast basket. Honestly, the room was better than some hotels that I've stayed at before. The room was very clean and had a mini fridge, microwave, and nice mattresses. It seemed like the room had been recently renovated because the flooring, paint, and other details were in excellent condition. We would for sure stay again and recommend! PS - when looking at reviews online for motels/hotels, be sure to use a site that is connected to actual stay. My understanding is that anyone can leave a review on sites like Google, so the reviewer may not have actually stayed at the location."

"My family and I stayed at this great house for a couple days and it was an amazing experience! It had everything we needed (minus cooking oil or butter if you want to cook food) but otherwise it had everything! The decor was super cute and homey and there were tons of blankets if you get cold or just like to be comfy! I think I counted 12 additional ones! Thanks for hosting my family! If we’re ever back in the area, we’d totally stay here again! :)"

"So happy with this property! We had a family reunion and there was room for everyone. First time staying in a place with no windows which makes it hard to know when it’s morning, but maybe that’s a good thing since I wake up with light lol Were there bugs? Yes- you’re in the country! That’s normal. Haha They made sure the whole place was clean beforehand but if you leave a door open- they are coming in! We brought paper plates/utensils because dishes for 15 people is insane haha but one thing to note is that there is not a dishwasher. Hmmm what else. Two fridges is amazing!! Ice maker - amazing! (Not sure it’s safe to eat but definitely helps cool stuff) The couches are soo comfy, as are the beds!!! Bags set is a little off and the pool cues were all missing the tips. Property manager quickly got us glue and charcoal for the smoker so that was not a problem. Fire pit was great, with plenty of wood, cute string lights and I believe 8 chairs. Overall, I highly recommend! I hope we can come back sometime."

"They went above and beyond. The place was clean and very comfortable. There were snacks and drinks left for us. They even had the fire pit ready to light. We had a mishap and 1 of our guest had to go to the hospital. Katie offered to come and give moral support and go get what we needed. They even offered to get us home if we needed it. There were books to read and games to play. I don't think I have ever had as good of service as this. I will always be greatful. If I come back to this area this is where I will stay."

"Clean and very quiet. Stars at night were beautiful. No WiFi which is perfect for getting kids to talk to each other! We stayed only for the night but found it nice and clean and comfortable."

"Rustic hunting lodge perfect for a large family gathering. The kids had the best time running around and making smores, we went on beautiful hikes in Shawnee National Forest, enjoyed the hot tub, and had plenty of space to cook for our family of 20. Plenty more space too!"
