"Our stay at Velora Hinton was truly amazing! The property is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel staff were kind, helpful, and professional , always ready to assist and ensure a comfortable stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Hinton. However, we did have one disappointing experience during breakfast. While most of the team was accommodating, the breakfast supervisor on one of the mornings (an East Asian lady) was unhelpful and dismissive of our request to take breakfast to our room for a child with special needs. The previous day, another staff member had kindly understood the situation and assisted us without any issue. We hope the management can ensure more consistent compassion and flexibility in such situations."

"This place is a gem! We stayed in a mountain view room in the main building. The view was incredible, the building is rustic and very historic feeling, it is a lodge afterall. The bathroom is very clean, and great hot water! We enjoyed dinner at the Stone Peak restaurant. It was delicious and so beautifully presented. The serving staff were very nice and attentive. And the view was amazing from any spot in the restaurant. Thank you to all at The Overlander, we really enjoyed our visit. "
