"We were really impressed with the Anker Hostel, it served us for what we needed. We’d booked our flights and then saw the price of hotels!! Anker hostel came up on our search but never having stayed in a hostel, I wasn’t sure but it was a really good price and met our needs. We had a basic twin room which had a bathroom and a small kitchenette. No frills but comfortable beds, clean towels and sheets, quiet and clean. Some of the public areas, corridors, etc, were a bit worn but didn’t affect our stay, this is just wear and tear. Check in seemed a bit long winded but the staff were lovely and friendly. I would stay here again x"

"Communal area on the ground floor is good. Large shared fridge but no freezer. Staff helped with overnight freezer access. Room is just big enough. Bathroom tiny but functional. Excellent location for exploring Oslo. It's a really easy walk from the train station even with bags. Staff not highly visible (you have to self check-in using machines which don't accept a hotels.com booking reference) but available when needed and always pleasant. Quiet at night even in city centre"
