not what we had expected
Checkin/out was easy, but strange about key box at "dog level". Stairwell has not been renovated for a long time, but so far ok. Apartment is on first floor and has only a very simple lock. Bathroom/toilet are halfway up the stairs (outside apartment), and you don't know exactly who else uses them. During a night-time use, someone knocked loudly on the door from the hallway. Beds are worn out, have hollows and when removing the bedding you could see that the mattresses already have clear signs of use. In the kitchen there is a carpet over clear damage to the floor. There is little equipment for cooking & only very few glasses, such as 3 glasses of different origins for wine - worse: no corkscrew. The visual impression seemed good, but cutlery/glasses needed cleaning first. The insulation of the old windows is poor - more of an issue in summer because of the noise from the café opposite, which is very popular until after midnight - and rightly so, as we can say. There is an improvised-looking bakery about 7 minutes' walk away (Chau. d' Alsembourg 105), which offers particularly tasty bread if you arrive early enough (also croissant/paint au chocolat on "normal level"). I haven't got a helpful answer when asking twice for parking. I had to find on my own that parking in front of the door between 6pm-9am and on public holidays is free of charge at the roadside.
