Bar is not open 24hrs as advertised. The hallway rug on level 2 was old and dirty. No shower curtains. It is a family oriented hostel, lots of kids. The kids playground is next to the bar. Breakfast for sure not fancy but ok. It is in a residential area. Only 2 small restaurants across the street, one of them no alcohol. Close by train station north.
The hotel is very good, spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable, the room was spotless, and the shower was excellent. However, the breakfast was very disappointing and not worth paying for. The reception staff deserves 4 stars.
Room was spacious, staff was excellent and helpful. Breakfast had heaps of options.
The only downfall is that the hotel is located close to Gare du Nord station which is a red light area where thieves operate. Highly recommend to take a taxi. Apart from that, the hotel is excellent
I feel like the reviews on Hotels.com aren’t to be trusted at all. I know this is a hotel turned hostel but it really shouldn’t be described as a hotel in any way. The bed was comfy and the location was great - that is the two positive things. Close to walk to train / bus station but also city centre and Tour&Taxis.
The bathroom was really old and tatty and didn’t seem clean and I’m not even fussy. The plug in the sink was pushed in so the sink didn’t drain but filled up so I had to brush my teeth in the bath tub. I told reception about this 3 times and they fixed it the night before I left - not an emergency but annoying and inconvenient. Staff was nice enough most of them but the service again is not of hotel standard but the price of the ‘hotel’ is.

Clean Room
Clean and spacious room , good value for the money
Lively lobby area, great rooms - family room at two toilets which was great! The surrounding area is quite vibrant - some restaurants, lots of local community shops, playgrounds. public transport options nearby.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff were very helpful and the property was decent. However, the area was real sketchy! Not too far from the property, we unexpectedly stumbled upon a red light district.
Location of the hotel was perfect, close to train and station, but the good experience ends here.
Reception staff were like robots, no welcome and not explanatory. Getting to the room gives the impression that the hotel needs a lift up. Dirty and market floor carpets. Checking in the room was no better; floor not cleaned properly, bathroom looked ok but not what we expected, no bath towels, only two hand towels.
Bedsheets not changed, hair and creases from previous stays. We went to reception and they offered us just bedsheets and bath towels, and no help for replacement or cleaning. Bar staff was very good and helpful, he new the area and gave us some good tips to enjoy our trip in Brussels. We thought things were getting better but late at night while enjoying our drinks next to the kitchen something which we didn't expect appeared, putting that nicely it was "Jerry" likely not chased up by Tom. That's was awful. We didn't book breakfast so I can't comment about it, but you can imagine how that would have been.

The location of the property is close to the train station, very convenient to go around where I wanted to visit.
The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, but one male staff at the food serving and bar area is not helpful or friendly, very obnoxious. I was very offended.
An interesting hotel with large rooms with breakfast included at a reasonable cost. Close to the city and station. Next to several blocks of flats which made the area look a bit rough late at night but probably safe.
Large rooms with good bathroom but otherwise the rooms were very bare with not even a plastic glass for water and no tea or coffee. It gave the impression of having been a more luxurious hotel in the past.
