"It was a very cute room. Very historic. There were ants all over however. But the location was the best. If you are looking for a quiet retreat the Market Square Tavern rooms are not for you. The cannon goes off a lot and drum and fife play frequently. But you can walk everywhere from it."

"While the room is clean enough, and certainly big, it’s outdated. The configuration is just odd. And while the staff checking me in was lovely, my room key quit working three times. And also the Griffin is far away from the rest of the hotel so every time the key quit working, it was a trek back to reception. And the building has no elevator. When I couple all this with the price per night, I have to say it was not a good value. (not to mention it was odd watching the sprinklers water the tennis court.)"

They helped us use our time there more effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at The Aldrich House. We would return if we ever end up back in Williamsburg."

"This location was outdated and terrible. I'm not sure how they dont get audited and shut down. On top of that, they charged me an additional $50. Because I checked in early. I booked the hotel at 1210am n checked in at around 0100am. They said it was hotel policy, but I don't understand how they are enforcing that policy but then they don't care to follow their policy on cleaning the hotel and specifically the rooms correctly. They should definitely reimburse me my hotel stay. I unfortunately was driving for a long period of time to care to fight it at the time of arrival and just stayed till 0730am. "

"Since I graduated from W&M, I've always wanted to stay at this place. No doubt it has a great location. But my disappointment started as soon as I arrived. No one outside to tell me where to park or help with bags. Walked in to a long line of people trying to check in with only 1 person working. The room itself was in need of a renovation. The restaurant and bar close early. Not what I expected. I won't be back."
