"This is a really nice property; clean and well equipped. My only complaint was it was boiling hot when we arrived. It was a warm day already (perhaps unusual for Iceland?) but the little house was sweltering and it was difficult to get a cross breeze as only 2 small windows could be opened. It was uncomfortably hot for about 3 hours (we even propped open the door to try to get the hot air out). Except for the heat, I was happy with this accommodation. Great location. "

"We had an absolutely awesome stay at Riverfront Lodge! The staff/owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, it’s in a beautiful and peaceful location with great views, and very convenient for those traveling the Ring Road. Definitely recommend!"

"great little house to relax in on the island. 15 min walk to the downtown so we can wander around to play, do some museums, eat different food, etc. very quiet and low key so we didn't have to worry about late night noise, allowing us to rest up well. amenities were nice and the room was comfortable. cozy little kitchen let us get ready for the day"

"Great time at the Spói Guesthouse for myself and my son. Owners are friendly, location is convenient, and it was great fun meeting new people. Will definitely stay there again when we make it back to Iceland!"

"Good points. The host communicated well prior to our arrival .he met us promptly and was very pleasant and helpful .bed was comfortable enough. Bad points.the house was very dilapidated, in very bad condition externally which gives a bad first impression .lots of flies around. Room very stark, nothing cosy. Shared bathroom not in good state of repair, pedal bin in bathroom full to the brim with sanitary towels, clearly not emptied in quite a number of days. Very overpriced ."

"Built by the owner, this is a very well designed and constructed guest house. Beautiful room and en suite bath with lots of outlets for charging phones, cameras, etc. Kudos to Andreas for a job well done! Service and travel advice were great too!"

"This was a guesthouse where we were greeted by the owner as we drove up. She showed us our room, which was clean and comfortable. She also made wonderful pancakes for breakfast for everyone, it felt like a family meal. I would recommend to anyone wanting something other than the sterile hotel room experience. "
