"Really enjoyed my time at the Laichmoray. First thing about the hotel is how amazing the staff are. Everyone is great and extremely helpful. Second, breakfast every morning was a treat — piping hot and tasty. Third, the room was perfect for me. I didn't mind that it was up four flights of stairs, no lift, and that the bathroom was tiny. It was all very functional, and the bed/pillows were extremely comfortable."

"Perfect place to explore Dufftown and Craig. The staff are helpful and eager to make sure everything is just right. Highly recommend the Sunday Roast and Whiskey Room. "

"Dear Doug, we had a fantastic stay in your beautiful house! The location right close to the sea is just unbelievable, and the four separate bedrooms were perfect for us. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed the great, long walks and visiting many whisky distilleries. We'd love to come back!"

"Staff and restaurant very good, especially smoked haddock for breakfast. Dinner menus but overpriced. My double standard room was far too small ( not for two people) lucky I was in my own. Furnishing very poor and cramped. Shower room even smaller and no shelf for soap / shampoo. Disappointed really."

"This was the second time of staying at the Banff Springs Hotel. I found the whole experience very pleasing. The reception, bar and restaurant area is very clean and a comfortable place to chill. I booked single rooms for my Son and I and we both found them to be of a good size with a comfortable bed, which is all one needs after a long drive up from London. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and found that the choice of food was plentiful and a good variety of dishes. The food itself was well presented and tasty with good portion sizes. The staff were all very polite and extremely helpful. The only really minor faults I could find were that of no lift and as a disabled person who finds it difficult to walk I struggled with the three flights of stairs. The only other fault was that in the face of hygiene the TV remote was very dirty with a build up of grime around the buttons and failing batteries. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are intending to work or holiday in this beautiful East coast part of Scotland."

"What a fantastic stay at Kintrae B&B! Jackie and Mike are fantastic hosts and cooks! Hotel building is beautiful, room was great, clean, beds are really comfortable. There was a lovely sitting room looking out to the sea. The breakfast was home cooked and fresh, i had the vegan breakfast that was so yummy I couldn’t wait to go to bed just to wake up for another one! Not only do Jackie and Mike cater for vegans with breakfast they also had vegan dinner options that I had the pressure of having. I had - vegan Tomato Bruschetta and Vegan Tofu and Vegetable Fajitas one night then I had vegan Home-made Lentil Soup and Pasta with a vegan tomato based ratatouille on my second night. The food was delicious and amazing, you must try if staying, I can only imagine how good the other food options must be. I couldn't thank Jackie and Mike enough for my stay, I was totally taken care of and couldn’t have been any happier with my choice to stay at Kintrae B&B. If you’re ever staying in Buckie this is the place to stay you won’t not regret it! I’m glad I choose Kintrae B&B for my first ever visit to Buckie and for sure will be back if ever in the area again. Thank you Jackie and Mike! "

"Our family spent three nights in two suites at the outstanding Station Hotel. Excellence in four categories: Location: Rothes is a quiet town, very close to many distilleries, the Cairngorms mountains, and to Elgin and Aberlour. Facilities: The suites were luxurious, the bistro very comfortable for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the whisky bar a very special place. Service/staff: The staff provide outstanding service. As with any hotel, small mistakes happen. The great hotels cover for those mistakes with grace and charm. That is true of the staff at the Station Hotel. Really outstanding, world-class staff: Carys Aspinall made our visit memorable before we even arrived. Contacted prior to our visit because I was having difficulty finding distilleries with openings for tours and tastings, she took the initiative to locate three places, sent me the information on their open time slots, and gave life to our ultimately very successful search. Those places she identified became the backbone of our touring (encouraged by the thoughtful notes she wrote about each one in a follow-up email). Once we arrived, Carys continued to provide the kind of service one dreams about: professional and efficient while also warm and welcoming. At reception, in the bistro, and in the whisky bar, we were helped by her repeatedly and in each case, felt a little bit like we had a very knowledgeable, local friend looking out for us."
