"Their romantic unit was wonderful. Beautiful tropical very private setting. A communal pool that we had all to ourselves.
Its an outdoor kitchen that worked but could use a bit of an upgrade. Big fridge but only a 2 burner countertop gas hotplate. No oven or microwave. Good closet space and beautiful shower. Groceries and a very good soda was beside it. Some high end restuarants near by. Could walk but the road is very narrow and its very dark. Osa golf golf course 20 minutes away. Uvita 20 minutes away. Good road into it. I highly recommend this place ."
"This hotel exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous views, lovely pool, a room with wrap around views, privacy, the most exceptional staff, delicious food with options for many tastes/diets, "
"Lovely little riverfront casitas. It’s a bit removed from restaurants and bars but it gives you the option to prepare your own meals or the hosts provide some food offerings as well. Everything is in great condition and well thought out. Our stay here was great. It was so relaxing going to sleep with the sounds of the river. "
"The good: This is an excellent hotel with spectacular views, friendly staff, and a zen atmosphere. The bad: There is 1.8 KM of unpaved steep rocky road before you get to the gate and another kilometer before getting to the property. This is bad enough that we decided to give up 2 prepaid nights and leave early despite having a 2WD SUV (To their credit, hotel credit us for our incidentals, which accounted for part of the nightly rate). I highly recommend this hotel as long as you have known brand AWD SUV. The hotel casually informs you of this as a requirement after you book, which was too late for us."
"Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Everything has been perfectly considered - design and integration of technology (most notably the lighting and sound systems). The pool is lovely for a dip to cool off, but beaches are close if you want the sea. 12 minutes drive is a cute set of cafe/restaurants, however the food on site is delicious. The set breakfast (changing daily) and dinner (and additional $60pp for set three-courses) were simple but excellently executed and tasty. The star of this place is Marc - he is Vayu. The amount of care and love he has put into their baby (sorry we didn't meet Rafael) projects into the care and attention he respectfully gives his guests throughout their stay. He is always on hand to assist, and nothing is ever too much trouble for him to help with. We would recommend staying here for a quiet and relaxing few days. A perfect end to a fantastic holiday. "

"This place is awesome! Very nice villa with amazing sunsets. We really enjoyed staying here but have a few tips for others. We were met by Johnathan who gave us a quick tour of the villa and gave us the keys/remote. We went outside to check out the view and shut the sliding glass door behind us. Here’s the tip. The sliding glass doors lock when you close them. We closed them with the keys and cell phones inside! We were locked out. Luckily we remembered a portion of the front door code and eventually made it in. From then on we used a plastic fork (the stick) to keep it open slightly so it didn’t lock us out again. Highly recommended the stick! There were 2 issues we didn’t see in other reviews. The villa is above a highway and the sound of semis engine breaking can be heard with the pool fountain off. Also, there are houses on the side of the highway below. One of the houses was blaring music most days that’s heard from the backyard.Regardless, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this villa. There’s a hotel next door with stairs from the villa to the hotel that made it easy to grab a bite with the same view. We loved our stay and you will too!"
