Great location with a lot of bars and restaurants around including local tango schools. The room are nicely don and very comfortable. They key 5 star difference is all about service. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and this one provided the best service ever from arranging airport and ferry transfers, reservations, tickets to local events, wake up calls and preparing to go breakfasts when we left before breakfast was served. On a pleasant quiet side street but just a few blocks away from Santa Fe street made our stay very pleasant the staff was courteous and helpful. And being small we didn’t have to waste time walking thru large lobbies. With only a few rooms per floor there were no long hallways.

We stayed a the Smart Hotel for a full week on our two-week trip to Argentina. This hotel beat my high expectations and was such a perfect place if you're looking to stay in Palermo. My wife and I booked this hotel through Expedia. No previous knowledge of this hotel (we usually stay at the Four Seasons). We are glad we found it. The staff was amazingly friendly and always ready to assist. The location was very convenient and the room was incredibly comfortable.

Hotel is a high level business-oriented facility. Many of the guests appeared to be professionals visiting Argentina on business. Large number of airline crew present as well. Check-in was smooth, though for persons arriving on early flights, getting to your room might be a problem. I was upgraded for a moderate rate and got a room on the executive floor right away.

We loved this hotel. The pool was amazing!!! Alejo was the best always helpful! We loved him!! Also the two best employees in the front Augustina and Sergio Alvarenga went above and beyond to help us. We would come back just to see these three. They were the best!
