About this property

Hill View Cottage

  • 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆:

Hill View blends historic Cotswold charm with confident, curated interior design. Set right on Burford’s High Street, independent shops, well-regarded restaurants and long lunches are all moments from your door. Walk everywhere with ease, then return to a sharp, contemporary space designed for those who appreciate good taste and considered detail.

    𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲:

Hill View sleeps up to four guests across two bedrooms. The principal bedroom features a king-size bed and an en-suite, with a second king-size bedroom and a separate bathroom. Inside, there’s a cosy living room with a log burner to keep things toasty, alongside a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and cookware.

You’ll also find a Smart TV and fast and reliable WiFi throughout. Bamford toiletries are included with every stay, along with bed linen, towels and Soho Farmhouse robes for every guest. Outside, there’s a small private courtyard with outdoor seating, ideal for relaxed drinks or dining in the fresh air.

    𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:

You’ll have full private use of the cottage throughout your stay. Parking is available a short walk away from the property.

    𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱:

We love a town stay, and Burford is one of the Cotswolds’ most historic towns, known for its sloping High Street, medieval bridge and traditional stone buildings. From Hill View, everything is within easy walking distance, whether you’re browsing independent shops, stopping in for a coffee, or settling into a pub for a proper Sunday lunch.

The River Windrush runs through the town and offers peaceful walking routes, while the surrounding countryside opens out into rolling hills and classic village scenery. If you fancy it, you’re not far from Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm and The Farmer’s Dog pub, both popular stops for visitors to the area, so plan accordingly.

The wider Cotswolds are easily explored from here, with destinations such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and the award-winning Daylesford all within a short drive.

Cirencester is around 30 minutes’ drive away and offers further shopping, restaurants and markets, while Kemble Station provides direct trains into London for longer stays or weekend visits.

    𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:

A car gives you access to all the Cotswold hotspots - but you can easily enjoy Burford on foot.

    • Nearest train: Charlbury or Kingham

    • Parking is available nearby (we’ll share tips in the guidebook)

    𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲:

This is an adults-only retreat. Decoration services can be arranged for special occasions.

Quiet hours run from 10.30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors.

    𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀:

Everybody finds peace in a different way, and that’s how it should be. From the moment you book, you decide the pace, and we’ll be there to help you plan, and create moments that really matter. It’s that little extra layer of support we offer to make sure everything runs smoothly. Thoughtful service, that never gets in the way of a good moment.

Whether that means a slow morning with a fresh pot of tea and a long soak, or a day out exploring neighbourhoods and nature - we’ll guide you, so it all unfolds just the way you’ve pictured it.

We had a two night stay with my Daughter and found Hill View cottage, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Pretty much everything you need for a great stay. The beds were plush and comfy and the place was nice and clean upon arrival. This property is decorated very much in keeping but still very modern comprises of two double bedrooms with the first on ground floor level albeit down a couple of steps with a toilet and sink off the kitchen and the second on the first floor along with two bathrooms one with a roll top bath and a second with a good shower, toilet and sink. The kitchen is well equipped. The free parking (off site) was a very welcome addition and was a great help. The link to the app gave us all the information needed and Dan was very prompt at messaging about our stay. All very professional.Burford is lovely in itself but we used it to visit other villages also in the Cotswolds and was a short drive from both the Cotswolds Wildlife Park and the Sculpture Park amongst other places. The sculpture park has a rustic but super cafe run by two pleasant ladies who seem to enjoy what they do! The cafe is vegan, which we are not but the food was all home made and tasted great! Thanks we had a great stay, just not long enough!! We would be happy to book again.
