"This hotel was nothing fancy, but Vancouver is expensive and we thought fair for the money. The location is within walking distance to so many places…20-30 minutes. The little ferry to Granville Island is just two blocks away and then a five minute ferry ride. So easy! Shopping on Robson Street is about 6 blocks away and Canada Place and Gastown about a 30 minute walk. The only thing I did not like was a safety issue with the tub/shower. The tub is very deep…very nice if you want to take a hot bath. But I can see how it could be a safety issue stepping in and out of the tub to take a shower as there are not any grab bars. I was fine, but for some it could be an issue."

North Vancouver Hotel

"My two sons (teen and young adult) and myself stayed at the North Vancouver Hotel for one night after seeing a concert in town. The neighborhood was not anything to write home about. I initially found it to be a little sketchy, but we had a very safe experience. We even caught the bus at the stop around the corner to get to our show in downtown. If you cared to explore the public transportation here, this is a convenient location to start. The bus took us to the train station and it’s a straight shot to downtown from there, maybe 10-15 minutes away. Traffic was quite heavy that day, so we were happy to avoid all that craziness. The room was clean and I didn’t get the icks like I have at other higher rated hotels. I found the beds comfortable..not too soft or too firm. Our room had small windows that you can open if you like. We traveled here in cooler fall weather and found the heater unit to be quite loud, but efficient! The noise didn’t bother us as we were so tired. The hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast..parties, yogurt, pancake. Not the most healthy or filling fare and the coffee was pretty mid. For the price, it’s pretty much what I would expect. Bottom line if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, affordable no frills stay, this is the spot!"

"Great room, excellent location. We stay in this hotel often for many reasons. A new policy at the hotel-if you’re bringing a car, use the QR code to park instead of paying the hotel directly. If you use the app you pay for a full 24 hrs. If you pay the hotel directly, you have until 1pm day of check out no matter the time you check in. Another tip- if you book on Expedia and your price includes any extras (ie food credit), make sure you mention it upon check in because they won’t add it to your account otherwise."
