"I don’t know why this hotel has such low ratings. It’s not the newest and best, but it is certainly a great value. The views are fabulous. The pool is extremely nice. The staff efficient and friendly. Located in the middle of everything you need in Belize city. The value is unsurpassed."

"The room and location were great, and the staff was a helpful and friendly. Walking distance to many restaurants and pickup location for most excursions. The only downside was that there was no ice machine, but no big deal. I'd recommend staying here and traveling to San Pedro for a day or two instead of staying in San Pedro if you're coming to Belize."

"Nice, typically rustic Belize style resort. Everyone working there that we interacted with was friendly. Very few rooms occupied the two nights we were there (5 rooms the second night and less than that the first night it seemed), which was good in some ways but not great for the resort. It seems they don't use dynamic pricing because I would have stayed another night if the price wasn't so much higher for the Saturday night stay even though I was told they only had 10 rooms booked for Saturday. The restaurant was good--you pretty much have to eat there unless you want to drive a long way. It would have been nice if the server had told us at breakfast that each coffee refill was an additional charge so we could take that into consideration before asking for more. The Spa on the rooftop which looked like a nice place to relax didn't work but other than that everything was as expected and nice. One of the owners was often around and very friendly. "
