Welcome to your serene woodland retreat! This expansive cabin comfortably sleeps 12, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and ample outdoor space. Relax in the private hot tub, roast marshmallows at the fire pit, or hike the exclusive trails right on the property. Whether you're planning a family reunion or a getaway with friends, this cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature.



We do not live on site but we are nearby and are available if needed.

Solitude sits on 22 beautiful private acres with its own hiking trails—and it borders over 200 additional acres of protected forest through the North Central Ohio Land Conservancy, giving you direct access to wide-open natural beauty. While it feels totally tucked away, you're just minutes from Loudonville's charming shops, restaurants, canoeing, ziplining, go-karts, mini golf, and more. Mohican State Park, Malabar Farm, Snow Trails, and Ohio’s Amish Country are all an easy drive away, offering endless options for day trips and outdoor adventure.

Solitude is just a short drive off a state route, but please note the gravel driveway includes a slight incline. From December 1st to April 1st, we strongly recommend a vehicle with four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) to ensure safe access—especially during snow or icy conditions. Your safety and comfort are our top priority, so plan accordingly during winter months.

Welcome to your private retreat—22 acres of peaceful seclusion, perfect for making lasting memories with family and friends. This 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home is designed for gathering, with a spacious great room featuring a stunning stone fireplace and oversized windows that bring the outdoors in. Step outside to unwind in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, and soak up the views from the expansive patio. It’s the ideal setting for connection, relaxation, and a little adventure too.

This is a rural property. We are within easy driving distance from Mohican State Park, Malabar Farm, Snow Trails Ski Lodge, Amish country, and more.

We do not provide firewood but there is a roadside stand that sells firewood just around the corner from the Mohican Pines cabins. The phone number is 419-632-4278. The address is 2318 State Route 97, sometimes referred to as Cleveland Street. It’s self serve.

This is our third year staying at Solitude. It has everything you would want to stay and spend time with loved ones in nature! It’s clean, up to date on everything, beautifully decorated, set in a secluded woods, close to trails and activities if you choose, and even has a hot tub and fire pit!Excellent hosts! The Host was extremely accommodating. We found ourselves ahead of schedule and after a single text, the host allowed us to check in 2 hours early. The interior decorating/furniture were some of the best we have seen in a VRBO. The grounds were beautiful. The kitchen well-equipped. Just a lovely place!

This was the perfect place for our quick family getaway. We were so impressed with the overall property and how clean the cabin was and how cute everything was decorated. Plenty of room for our group to stay. Provided towels for showers and the hot tub which I thought was super thoughtful. Great communication during our stay and gave us clear instructions for checking out of the property. Would recommend and my group had a great time.

The 5 of us high school friends plan an annual retreat in the fall. This cabin fit all our needs and was so clean and cozy! We loved the soft leather couch and fireplace and all the convieniences provided in the kitchen. Also loved the big dining room table to play games and do crafts. The beds were all very comfortable and we liked that there were many bathrooms. Thank you for sharing your beautiful solitude cabin!

We had a great time at Solitude. We spent five days there ahead of Christmas just to relax. We made cookies, watched movies by the fire, played games, and ate. The cabin was well stocked for all our needs. it was conveniently located near Mohican State Park, which we took advantage of to get out and do some hiking. I highly recommend this cabin if you have a larger family.

A beautiful property nestled away from the hustle and bustle—it was truly a perfect getaway. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities needed to have an enjoyable weekend without worrying about having forgotten something at home or needing to head out to the store. Jodi was very kind, thorough, and accommodating, and she was great about communication from booking through checkout. We all loved this cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to plan a getaway!

Every holiday our family spends some time away from the city to enjoy the beauty of Ohio, time to read and play games together, and a chance to slow things down after a busy year. Property was perfect...communication with owner was great, she responded very quickly to all of our questions. Most properties we stay at usually have poor bedding...but this is the first one we've stayed at where EVERYONE loved the beds and slept great!!! Can't think of anything that needs improved upon !!! This was our Christmas gift to the family...and ME! This is such a beautiful, clean, well thought out space for a family of 12 to spend quality time together. Plenty of space! We enjoyed cozy time by the fire, grilling for a taco bar for dinner, roasting marshmallows outside in the firepit, lounging in the hot tub, watching movies. We hiked all around the property and the nearby trails, where we saw a waterfall and an eagle's nest! The coffee bar and rainbow books made us smile! Love the updates from last year. We went home rejuvenated and ready to tackle the week. Thanks to great hosts! We would stay again!

Our family of 10 absolutely loved staying at solitude cabin. The house is immaculately decorated. It feels like a chic cabin experience. Everybody said how comfortable the beds were and what a great night sleep they got on them. We couldn’t have wanted anything better. The Jacuzzi is big and new, it is perfect to relax in after a long day of skiing. The kitchen is set up with many staples that you would need for cooking a nice meal. it has a big beautiful kitchen table for everyone to sit around and play games and eat! We would absolutely stay here again!! Jodi was extremely understanding when we asked questions and always got right back to us.
