Expensive for what you got!!

Close to beach and shops. Lodge was so small and pokey. Ensuite flooded drainage fall going the wrong way. Terrible always walking in water after a shower. Ants everywhere in room. Staff where not that friendly. Could hardly read numbers on pad on boom gate to get your car in and out.

Nice little get away for weekend for two

Was a nice get away for my partner and I, nice surroundings,nice staff,seconds away from the beach..and from centre of town..attended a wedding, was great for what we needed

The room was very small and the bed even smaller. The bathroom walls were opaque so you could see through when using the toilet and shower which made things quite uncomfortable for me and my friend who I was staying with. There was no sound proofing at all and I could here conversations of the people in the cabins next to me. I know it was a small cabin but still. Very close to town and the staff were great for check in and out.

We stayed in one of their lodges. It was very nice to sit in the shadow outside the room. It would have been nice if there where some pots and pans in the kitchens or some you could borrow from reception, for a deposit.

Enkelt och fräsht

Då hostelen var fulla var detta ett mycket prisvärt alternativ för två backpackers. Vi bodde i som små stugor och delade toalett och dusch med gästerna i de andra stugorna. Toaletten och duschen var fräsha.

Great location. We stayed in a suite lodge, which has a double bed and small bathroom. The room was very small, not comfortable in any way (although, the AC, ceiling fan works, clean linen.). It was basic as they come. What bothered us the most was that there are no blinds/curtains on impossibly hard to reach windows, which is great if u like waking up at dawn. The bed is simply rudimentary and not sufficient for a longer stay or someone older or someone not used to sleeping on couches. The tv on the wall was very frustrating too, the remote was broken and wasn't replaced over our 3 day stay, to control it manually was like a game of lucky dip and the tv channels reception was beyond patchy. Liked the big lizard outside next to our car each day, very cute, the beach is lovely as is the proximity to shops. The staff seem friendly too.

Great location

Great location, right on the beach although gates locked overnight so cant go straight out front for sunrise walk etc. 'Free wifi' is 100mb a day then you have to pay extra if you want more. Stayed in ensuite lodge, cosy, shower was a bit silly as it wet the whole bathroom around toilet etc but great share kitchen facilities right outside rooms. Had a great stay.

Fantastic beach location. Walking distance to town

Originally booked the lodge rooms, way too small, photos on line were deceiving, no privacy between the sleeping area and the bathroom . Upgraded to hippie huts "glamping".very nice but expensive.cheaper rates in person than over the net ??

Cheap and cheerful.

My husband and our son stayed in a lodge at the First Sun Holiday Park. Although the room is quite small, pricing is very reasonable. The shared amenities are clean and presentable and the cooking area is kept clean and tidy. I like the overall experience of staying at the First Sun Holiday Park because of it's fabulous location, just a few steps to the beach and the well kept gardens make it attractive.

Location!

We stayed in the lodges. Positives. Location is literally the best in Byron. From the lodges, it's MAXIMUM 1 minute walk to the beach or 1 minute in the other direction to the main stretch of Byron. The staff are highly committed and are seen cleaning all the bathrooms and camp-grounds daily. The beach is stunning. We swam with sea turtles at the ship wreck directly in front of the holiday park. Negatives. Shared bathrooms. Never ideal. But you can deal with it pretty easily. And the bins are emptied at 5am right behind the lodges a couple of times per week. So just prepare for a pretty early, glass smashing, alarm clock!
