Lake Cadillac Resort

Newly renovated and right on Lake Cadillac. Room was great, large fridge, microwave and a large walk-in shower. Very clean. Would stay there again.

Lobby was bright and inviting. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was tight but available. The facility is old but clean and well maintained. Pool area was nice and had ample seating.

Nice renovations. Great staff. There were some questionable guests on the premises that included law enforcement involvement. Turned out to be some local people but it made us a little uncomfortable. Overall a good stay. We enjoyed it.

The room was clean, staff friendly. We were unable to unlock the deadbolt using the key & had to ask for help. Toilet handle was broken & had to flush manually. Could have used a luggage rack. Property is good location & would stay again.

A neede respite.

This stay was simply for some place to sleep and shower. Our activities kept us active and away from Cadillac Sands for the most part.

There were ants in our bathroom. We asked for service the second day. Trash and towels. Never received them. Wi-Fi is horrible. When asked for the Wi-Fi password the employee wouldn’t give it to us and said it wasn’t private. It was so we didn’t have Wi-Fi all weekend. Beach area not really swimming friendly for kids but they did like the pool. Breakfast is nothing special.

Disappointing - thin walls, no Wi-Fi, & metal keys

TLDR: Insanely thin walls = hear everything (even neighbors' bodily functions), no wifi (w/o notice), metal keys (+ lost key charge), friendly staff, clean. The front desk clerk was friendly, and the hotel was clean, which I appreciated. However, they are the only two positive aspects of my stay. My main complaint was how shockingly thin the walls were. I have stayed in many hotels and expected to hear some noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, but this was like nothing I had experienced before. The walls were so thin that I heard entire conversations, toilet flushes, and even bodily functions (yes, I'm serious) from the neighboring room. Even with earplugs, I could not get any sleep. Second, the hotel's wifi was not working. It would have been considerate if I had been notified beforehand - such as when I called to confirm my reservation or during check-in. Also, the hotel's website touting free wifi should have noted the outage. Rather than an honest and forthcoming staff, I learned of the wifi outage from a tiny sign in my room. This was aggravating because I had to work and use my mobile-hot spot data. Lastly, the hotel uses metal keys instead of keycards. Although this is minor, I was concerned since I misplace items often, and the hotel charges a fee for lost keys. Overall, I had high hopes for this hotel based on the staff and appearance, but I was let down by the thin walls, noise level, and no internet.

Excellent service and beautiful place

Everything about this resort stay was PERFECT! We were only there overnight, but really enjoyed it! It was very clean and the hot tub was such a nice added touch that I wasn’t expecting. Highly recommend!

This is a classic lake motel but it has been updated with new paint, floors and bathrooms. It felt very clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful and the staff were super kind and helpful. There are easy walking paths nearby. The restaurant next door was surprisingly delicious, and even though they were extremely busy, the college kids working tried their best and were good kids. Honestly, I booked it on a whim. We were on the way up to a wedding and we were extremely pleased with the entire stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Good location, nice view

This motel is nice for a short stay. Location is good with a nice view of the lake. Balconies are very nice and the rooms were clean and updated, as well as quiet. The rest of the motel needs a makeover and could be cleaner. I'd highly recommend adding an additional mirror to the room. Having only a mirror in the bathroom is inconvenient. Continental breakfast wasn't the greatest, but it got us through.

I liked the location but everything else was terrible. Check in was the first problem. The woman who checked me in was not very nice, not friendly, could not find my Drivers license, she said we could not Check in. I found my license and we checked in but not before my sisters unloaded our stuff, a lot of stuff, then she said we had to drive to our room, so we loaded up the truck and drove to where our room was, it was stairs without hand rail, that was a problem , my one sister had a walker and I have a balance problem. Leftover from a stoke, we got into the room and it was handicapped which was fine but the shower chair was under the sink, towels in a small cupboard, no sitting in room except the bed, bed was awful, you could roll off it easy, so uncomfortable, we brought chairs from outside to sit on but they were cheap wobbly, hole in seat of another, just awful, we almost left but we were tired, the keys, given 2, were ok, that’s the reason why I give them the poor rating. I will never stay there again and pay their price. Thank you, Tammy Pagels
