We’re right in the heart of the city, and our room has a lovely balcony overlooking the intersection of two main streets. Cairo is wonderfully lively all night long, so just keep in mind that the city sounds and traffic may be noticeable from the room. It’s part of the charm of staying in the middle of Cairo!
Very nice hotel offering the basics that a traveller needs. Staff is very nice and helpful going above and beyond to serve your needs.
Excellent position in the downtown core with lots of possibilities for eating.
Clean rooms offering a warm welcome after a long flight.
Definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for best price/service rate.
We stayed at this hotel and had a good overall experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The room was quite okay in terms of cleanliness, and the breakfast was also okay.
One disadvantage is that the hotel is located right in the city center, so there can be a lot of noise from cars outside. However, this is also an advantage because it is very close to everything in town.
I would recommend staying there if you are looking for a place with a central location and easy access to the city.

After a long bus ride, we were welcomed with smiles, an early check-in, and breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed — truly kind and thoughtful service and quick response.. thank you Dunia :)
My stay at Olivia Hotel was so great! It’s very clean and quiet. The staff are attentive and friendly. Dunya abs Fatima took great care of me every morning. I will note, just to manage expectations, that I reserved their most basic room and it was quite compact. If you’re coming from the U.S. the size might surprise you. But really was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the fridge was stocked with beverages that cost less than at the market, and the breakfast every morning was so so tasty. A fried egg, Egyptian pita with fig jam on the side, a couple kinds of cheese, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, yogurt, coffee or tea. All of it every morning! Fatima also does a laundry service that is very affordable. It was less than $4 for a load (the charge is per item). It’s also important to note that if you’re used to US or tourist area hotels, this one may be hard to locate at first. It’s in a large building with businesses and (I think) residences. To get into the building you go through a hallway from the street. It’s lined with businesses with very friendly people. Then you take the elevator to Floor 2. On Floor 2 you’ll see the sign for the hotel. But you can stop anyone and ask for directions if you need to. Overall, I am so happy with my stay and will be at Olivia Hotel any time I’m in Cairo in the future!
