"We had an incredible stay at Seaside Sanctuary. Spectacular views and the perfect home to unwind and unplug. Truly one of the most beautiful properties to be found anywhere. Gorgeous views of the cove with comfy rockers and Adirondack chairs for sunrise and sunset vistas. House is well-taken care of, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need plus some excellent extras - binoculars, fans, pretty margarita glasses w/ matching pitcher, stock pots for lobster, fantastic lighting, comfy seating and beautiful decor. Beds were super comfy plus two full bathrooms. Nothing better than waking up in the morning to gaze right from bed at the sparkling water! We had so much fun trying to spot the eagles each day. We also saw seals, cormorants, and a very friendly red squirrel who visited daily. We could have spent each day relaxing in the various areas designed for enjoying everything this property has to offer - nature, the sea, wildlife, and views. Morning coffee on the deck at the southeastern end of the property and drinks in the evening in the chairs at the northwestern end! We had fantastic weather but Seaside Sanctuary would have been just as lovely on a rainy day. We also enjoyed seeing some sights in Lubec - Bold Coast/Boot Head Preserve, Quoddy Head, Monica’s Chocolates, and Love at First Light Ice Cream were some highlights. But really and truly our favorite thing to do was hang out at our seaside sanctuary! Stacey was also an excellent host and check-in/out was easy. "

"The home is beautiful. It is old, but the owner has made some cool improvements to it. Like a comfortable room to watch tv with a good soundtrack. The best room in the house overlooks the river and was the room we would be in during the day "

"A sweet cabin in the woods. The moment you walk into the cabin, you know you are "home". Lots of attention to detail. After a long, dark, foggy drive it was so nice to arrive at the cabin and see a big bowl of snacks waiting for us and the dogs even had their own welcome basket. Very dog-friendly location. Comfortable furnishings, excellent mattress with lots of pillows. kitchen is well equipped with whatever you need. perfect location in a quiet residential neighborhood with a view of the water The fire pit was perfect on a chilly night. many conservation areas nearby for dog walks and exploring nature. . We loved it so much we've already booked our vacation for next year. Carla is an amazing host and was available to answer questions throughout our stay. "

"We loved our time in this home! Jeanne was super easy to get in touch with, and even though there was a mixup with her cleaner, she went above and beyond to make sure the mistake was made right. The home was very comfortable & the view from the upper deck is gorgeous. The bed we used was very comfortable as well and the workout room was a nice perk! Just be aware that there is another downstairs back apartment, so you'll want to keep the back bedroom sliding door curtain closed as it goes out to the deck for the back apartment. It didn't cause us any trouble but just be aware people you don't know could be back there! :) We enjoyed going down to Eastport to enjoy the shops and restaurants, and of course the harbor. I definitely recommend!"

"We really appreciated this spacious, bright, updated, charmingly-decorated home looking out at the water from a bluff in Eastport. Mary the owner was very communicative and the house was an excellent base to explore the last undeveloped area of the American eastern seaboard (and a beautiful area at that). There were only minor issues w/ the property: the pots/pans were in need of an update, some of the rooms were dark at night and could use more lamps, and the path to the beach was rather overgrown. But overall we were very pleased and we certainly hope to return! "

"Nice quiet location, close to the water and downtown. A well equipped home with all essentials. Includes a nice jaccuzi tub in the master bedroom, and a quality washer/dryer. Enjoyable waterfront area with great dining and fun shops."

"very clean, quiet location just a few minutes from the village and harbor. Fully stocked kitchen except for a lobster pot, ( maybe we didn't look hard enough) if you plan on taking advantage of purchasing them fresh from the boat, and steaming some clams!"
