"Rummet var litet och utan utsikt trots fina bilder för typen av rum. Bodde i ett slitet och helt nedstängt annex till huvudbyggnaden. Handtaget till ytterdörren var försvunnet och bara en pinne stack ut. Dörren till rummet tog i mattan på insidan så man var tvungen att forcera upp dörren. Boka något annat är vårt tips! Kändes som man var med i filmen Shining…"

"Staff were 10/10 amazing! However we had cockroaches in our room and outside in the hallway. The open toilets weren’t amazing in terms of being clean either."

"The room had connecting doors, even though the booking information only stated that connecting rooms were available, not that I would necessarily be assigned one. I specifically chose a higher-priced room, expecting a better experience. Unfortunately, the room had virtually no sound insulation. I could hear the noise from both adjacent rooms as if the guests were inside my own room, which made it extremely difficult to rest. There was noise until midnight and then again from as early as 6 a.m.,...

"Clean, with a nice pool and a great breakfast options!"

"The room we were assigned was in the basement where there were no elevators. My husband (62) and I had to carry our luggage down the stairs to get to our room. Once inside the said room, it stunk so bad like mold and moisture. Our reservation was for a double bed, instead we were given two singles. Also the mattress was on the floor, no bed frame. We approached the front staff regarding our dissatisfaction and they kindly upgraded our room to a Suite on the top floor (6). As one would think...

"To be honest, and in my personal opinion, I don’t feel this hotel currently deserves a 5-star rating, especially considering the price. Our stay was unfortunately not a particularly pleasant experience. We had to change rooms because of unpleasant smells, especially on the lower floors. To be fair, the staff were helpful and arranged alternative rooms on higher floors, which I appreciated. The best part of the hotel is undoubtedly the spectacular sea view and peaceful location. However, when it...

"Excellent breakfasts Food is excellent"

"This gem of a resort had the most amazing breakfast included, a welcome drink when we arrived and exceptional service during our stay. Highly recommend"

"My stay at Pestana Alvor Praia exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home with their genuine friendliness and helpful attitude. The attention to detail in room cleanliness and maintenance was top-notch—everything felt fresh, comfortable, and very well kept. Between the warm service and fantastic facilities, we had a truly relaxing stay. We will definitely be returning!"

"We visited the property in October. Therefore it was off-season and a lot slower than what we heard was typical. But it was still amazing. Super convenient to get to town. And great access to a beautiful beach that had some amazing restaurants. The staff was very helpful and helping guide us as to what we needed to go see and where we needed to go eat. The only awkward thing was the beds in the room were made up like two twin beds pushed together, each with their own sheets. But my husband and I...

"Great hotel location and staff. Really enjoyed our stay there. Room was large, water pressure was amazing in the shower, the bed was nice. Would recommend asking for a duvet as the air can make it a bit cold at night. If you are not leaving the city, location is amazing, and if you are checking out the rest of the Algarve also so nice and easy to get around. Second reco - get yourself some of the hotel beach towels - so handy to have for the beach. Finally thanks to Sergio - Ice Ice Baby...

"A beautiful hotel with excellent amenities and friendly, helpful staff. Thank you for a fabulous week!"

"This is a magnificent place to rest, relax and enjoy the fabulous scenery on the property. Its paradise!! I can only say wonderful things about the owners and the staff. Wait until you see the breakfast! Come here and walk the property or swim at the private beach. Enjoy the array of things to do and this fascinating villa. You won’t be disappointed!!"
