"The property is neat and tidy. Everything we needed are provided, e.g. toiletries, hair dryer, all basic cooking utensils with seasoning as well. It is located in a small town, which is quiet. Also, it is between Glasgow and Edinburg, which is good to visit both places. Driving is a must."

"It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The hosts were charming and attentive. It was fun to talk with them and the other guests, and the breakfast (made specially for each guest) was some of the best food I had while in the UK. The bathroom was pretty small, and the shower was one of those stand-alone ones that looks a bit like a box, but the bathroom and room were always very clean. The parking was a bit tight when every spot was full (I had a large rental car), but there was enough space for everyone. There was a cute bakery that is open in the mornings (and only takes cash) across the street as well as a post office and convenience store. The location isn't close to anything major, but it is nicely situated if you have a car and are hoping to travel to different places around Scotland. The wifi was great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. In particular, I appreciated the wonderful hosts who you could tell truly cared about all their guests and who go out of their way to make everyone's stay enjoyable. "

"Had a wonderful stay at Elaine's super clean cottage. Elaine is lovely, such a kind host. The place was ideal for myself and my daughter, great location, quiet and peaceful, with parking right outside. The king bed in the master bedroom was perfect and the single bed in the other bedroom was also comfortable. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which had great water pressure and plentiful hot water. Everything we needed to make a meal was included in the kitchen, plenty of cupboard space, microwave, hob, oven, fridge freezer, cafetiere as well as a washer, so you can pack light. Elaine left biscuits, tea, coffee and porridge for us, which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was a real treat, nice to relax in, despite the unseasonably cold and wet August weather, (tip-bring flip flops and a dressing gown). We were in town for a skating event at the local rink, so we didn't have the chance to sight-see, but the cottage is ideally placed for trips to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. We can however, recommend "The Mint" in Coatbridge, great restaurant, highly recommend a meal here. The cottage is such a lovely place, we hope to return next year. Thank you Elaine"
