Apartment Isabel, A quiet peaceful place to stay

  • Apartment Isabel is a traditional portuguese home. The home is in a quiet street on the old street that used to go to Arco da Calheta.

    The house was decorated by me and some of my tapestries are on the wall. As a younger woman I would make them for the embroidery company but now I do them just for me.

    The veranda has a beautiful view to Arco da Calheta and in the afternoons the sun shines on this terrace that I am sure will enjoy.

    Its a 2 bedroom home with a bathroom, kitchen and lounge.

Sehr schöne FeWo mit herrlichem Ausblick.

Hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in Arco da Calheta. FeWo war nur schwer zu finden, da die angegebene Adresse ein Fussweg ist, und im Navi nicht zu finden war. Ausserdem ist die zum Haus führende Strasse (Camino Velho) sehr eng und der Parkplatz dazu noch sehr steil gelegen.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Lage

Nach anfänglichen Problemen mit Elekrtizität und Gasversorgung in der Küche, ein schöner Aufenthalt in ruhiger Lage und tollem Ausblick. Die Vermieterin Isabel war sofort zur Stelle und die Probleme wurden umgehend gelöst. Isabel spricht kein Englisch, aber sie ist so nett und hilfsbereit, so daß die Verständigung trotzdem funktioniert hat. Ansonsten ist die Kommunikation in Englisch mit Garry möglich, er gibt auch Hinweise und Tipps zum Auffinden der Wohnung und Einchecken. Die Lage im Süden Madeiras ist sehr günstig als Ausgangspunkt für viele Touren, allerdings ist ein Auto notwendig. Kleine Läden gibt's im Ort, die Anfahrt über die steile enge Straße von Loreta ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, hat aber immer gut geklappt.

Ruhige Lage mit wunderschöner Aussicht

Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Unterkunft liegt schön ruhig, die Anfahrt ist aufgrund von steilen und engen Straßen etwas abenteuerlich, aber machbar. Die Unterkunft selbst war - vermutlich wetterbedingt - etwas feucht und die „Heizung“ nur ein einziger mobiler, elektrischer Radiator. Die Kommunikation mit dem Verwalter war unkompliziert.
