The Villa at Val du Vino Winery

"Fantastic location. The house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels for the pool, kitchen, and bathrooms, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. It had everything we needed- tons of spices, small appliances, paper towels, foil, ziploc bags, etc. It was honestly the best-equipped rental I’ve stayed in.The pool was great to have, but it’s on the smaller side and is not heated. Even though it was 100 every day, the water never really warmed up and was difficult to get into.Other than that, the house was fantastic. We had a great stay and would stay again."

"Fabulous, clean, and tastefully updated home in a great location! The beds were comfortable, and the home was perfectly situated for walking the streets of Murphys. Despite being on Main Street, it was quiet in the evenings. We couldn't have asked for a better two-night stay for two couples. We will definitely stay here again when our travels bring us back to the Murphys area!"

"We loved this place! My husband I like to stay in places that are quiet, clean and walkable to town. The Heard House did not disappoint. We were greeted by Darrell and Moby upon arrival and felt welcome straight away. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked. A nice touch was having coffee, sweeteners, and half and half already available, plus a few snacks—not a common touch in our experience! We were 1 block off the main drag with tons of wine tasting and restaurants, and even live music. We loved Grounds for breakfast. The town is pretty quiet during the week and revs up over the weekend. We also loved how central the location was to places like Mercer Caverns, Calaveras Big Trees, and Jamestown. Overall, a great place to stay… just what we needed to getaway from our normally hectic lives."

"Another great stay at Happy Hollow, i've been coming here for the past several years for much needed reset and relaxation and this place never disappoints. The home is well set up with everything you need and is always spotless. The large large is like having your own park that my daughter and her dog absolutely love playing in. There are plenty of great restaurants in easy walking distance including sushi, pizza, burgers and an ice cream shop that we always enjoy. Our next stay is already booked, thanks Janet for being such a great host."
