180 Degree Views!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house did not disappoint. Looks just like the pictures and delivers on ambiance. It was clean and tidy, with lots of throw blankets to cuddle up under. Great for families or couples. The only thing we missed was shampoo and conditioner - we were told they would be there, but we couldn't find any. Also, very short driveway, so be aware.

First of all the views were spectacular ! Deer everywhere so be careful. Listening to the waves crash on the shore from the deck was very relaxing. There is no cell service here much in town. Lots of free WiFi and the house is plenty strong for multiple guests. The house is equipped with everything you need and local store is close by. We traveled up and down the coast to multiple spots and location of house made it very easy. Had some late night fun evenings playing board games which there are plenty to choose from. Make sure to use the telescope in living room as you can see whales !

The house is comfortable, nicely layed out, with awesome views of the ocean from most every room. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The location is great, in a quirt neighborhood, near the trails and close to downtown Cambria. Enjoyed our time in this house immensely; we will try to reserve "Whale Watchers" again next Summer.

Home away from home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was terrific and suited our needs beautifully. The headline is the family room/dining area/kitchen, which connects seamlessly to a great deck with views of the ocean. The comfortable furniture inside and out was of a good quality that never felt cheap. The house, in general, felt that way. Clean and well appointed, including the kitchen. The house felt loved by its owners and as a result, we felt welcomed and appreciated as renters. I could tell items noted by previous renters were taken care of and no longer an issue. The neighborhood was great and perfect for walking to the water or to Fiscalini park. We will very likely return for future rentals. One small item that is easily fixed: there were some screws in that great deck that need tightening. They’re poking up and I was concerned someone might injure a foot out there. Otherwise, thanks to the owners for your part in a wonderful stay!

Christmas at Cambria

We loved this house based on its location and view of the ocean. The kitchen especially is generously supplied with high end cooking equipment in addition to generous supplies provided - towels, blankets, fans, pillows, paper goods and condiments including crushed ice and coffee. The home is decorated beautifully with whale/ocean theme decor.

Vacation With Family

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent fabulous week in this house with family from the midwest. The kitchen is well-equipped and the house is clean and comfortable. We spent many hours out on the deck enjoying the fantastic view and beautiful weather. We even watched a Spacex launch. The only downsides are a double bed rather than a queen in one of the bedrooms and very limited parking. We’ve already planned two more stays at this beautiful house for 2026.

Fantastic balcony and views

The house was as described - great views, well stocked kitchen, and lots of room in the main part of the house. For those that want to know, the main bedroom has a king bed, the other two rooms have full/double beds. I wish they would have put that in the description. There was no way to reach out to the management company within the VRBO App before booking which is a negative, but other than that, the house was clean, the location great, the views spectacular! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at the Whale Watcher

We found the property clean and well stocked for our needs. The house is very comfortable with a beautiful view. How ever the garage was too small for our ford F150 and it barely fit length wise in the driveway. It would have been helpful to know that it was more suited for a smaller vehicle. when the garage door quit working the management addressed it in a timely manner. Overall, we would recommend this property.

Really gorgeous!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is so well-kept and beautifully appointed and decorated. The view is gorgeous. Only slight disadvantage is the lack of parking (the garage is small and the driveway is short; don't bring a large vehicle if you can help it; there is roadside parking about 3 house lengths away). Having the bedrooms all downstairs allows family "vacation mess" to be contained and the main floor and loft to feel company ready and serene with three different conversation or get-away areas all with a spectacular ocean view! Thank you to our wonderful "host-ghosts"! Your TLC was noticed.

Whale watching and comfort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a very cozy and perfectly positioned house, perfect for a couple or, large enough for 6 adults. The house is furnished very comfortably with a large sectional couch in the living room (in front of the large fireplace) and, upstairs in the TV loft - two couches and an armchair. Perfect for a night in to watch a film. Outside on the deck are two swivel rocking chairs and a large sofa. Thick outdoor cushions are provided for those. The kitchen is incredibly well appointed with enough pots and pans to cook just about anything. There is plenty of everything in that kitchen. We loved the open concept of the living spaces. Dining table is large too. Downstairs are three cozy bedrooms. All rooms have smart TV’s, and comfortable beds. There is a shaded deck off the master bathroom and one of the guest rooms. The owner provided plenty of plush towels. A washer and dryer is conveniently located in the guest bathroom. We loved this home with its vast views of the ocean. The whales put on quite a show! We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely house. The house has been very well maintained and was immaculate. Would highly recommend this house.

Our Recent Stay at Whale Watcher

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Whale Watcher many times over the last few years. We love the house. The owners might want to be aware that the sink in the secondary bathroom has a stopper that needs repair. Also, the floor mat in the master bath is missing. It's difficult to step out onto a cold, hard tile floor after a shower. The dishwasher is unbalanced in its space making it hard to turn it on. These are minor but we thought it might be something the owners would want to know about.

Only a couple downsides. Parking is very limited. The queen bedroom could use a new mattress. The third bedroom is only a double bed.

The most relaxing stay of our lives...

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented a LOT of different homes in Cambria over the last 25 years, but this is one we would return to over and over again. The decor is light and tasteful and the house was super clean and easy to keep clean. The views are truly breathtaking, and feel almost 360. We love that the television is in an adorable loft, keeping the living free for cozy nights by the fire. VERY well appointed kitchen. My husband and I both got so much work done here, and our 8-year-old loved it, too. Only notes: to walk to/from Fiscalini trailheads will mean quite a bit of uphill on the way back to the house (we loved it, fyi for any mobility issues), there is limited parking, and the dishwasher is not cabinet-installed, so a bit clunky (but totally works). Shout-out to the primary shower, including the ocean views!

Awesome Place!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the best home we could have chosen for our CA vacation! Four adults (and a few days 6) fit wonderfully into this beautiful home. The place was immaculate and extremely well stocked, as many other reviewers have mentioned. The views from the decks are very impressive. It was all we could do not to just sit out there all the time. We visited in mid-September and the weather was perfect. I did alot of research and comparison before choosing this home and it paid off very well. We've already decided to come back to the area again, and specifically to this home. One couple was visiting from St. Louis, MO and the other from Los Angeles area. The proximity to not only the sites along the coast but also the wineries in Paso Robles can't be beat. Nothing was more than an hour drive. Thank you for offering this beautiful home for rent!!
