The location of this hotel is excellent for walking into Cambridge centre. Rooms ver comfortable and staff helpful. Only drawback was an £18 per night car parking fee as we had booked through a third party and not directly with the hotel.

Clean, warm, and in a great location. However, it’s a bit pricey since parking isn’t included and breakfast is limited. The staff are pushy and unkind, the stairs are uncomfortable, and the timings for dinner and breakfast are too short.

The hotel could do with some TLC and some money spent on it, as there were a lot of visible cracks and leak stains in the building. Whilst the room seemed dated. Staff were excellent. Bar closed at 10pm which wasn’t very good.

We have used this hotel on a number of visits to Cambridge. The on-site parking and convenient location are the main attractions. Parking this time was more expensive than I expected (£18). Minor maintenance issues in the room. Don't be late for breakfast - they clear the buffet at 9:30 sharp.

Good location, dated hotel. Booking via Expedia was an issue as parking was £18 per day and no hot breakfast as have to pay £12 in addition. This all adds up as hidden rate. So book direct would be my recommendation. Check out was at 10:30 am! Any extra time is £20 per hour. The toilet was stained. We were given choice of room in 5th floor, steep stairs, please consider if mobility issues. The hotel is a period building and must have been grand in its own times. Staff are always smiling and nice to guests. I bumped my head a few times as it was a loft room. There is tea and kettle in the room. The continental breakfast has good choices. Would recommend some eggs as I don’t eat ham. There was no choice of protein as such. But good spread of fruits, cheese and carbs. It was okay for 2 nights. Location was perfect for us as its opposite the punting as well.
