The Faraway Cottage was the best find! After playing musical lodging…I found the perfect little getaway!! Quaint and charming! Coffee on the deck in the mornings…my favorite part of the day!! It was so relaxing and peaceful!! I hope to stay again!!

The mattress was soft and sloped to the middle. We were given a choice to move to the other bed. That bed was jammed in a corner and only accessible from one side. We are older and this was not possible. We had booked 3 nights and left after one very short on sleep night. We removed the sheets per the instructions and found dirt underneath the sheets and staining on the mattress.

The area is beautiful. Couldn’t get the heater to work properly. So it was a bit chilly. My husband did want to watch a little t.v. but the sound kept messing up. The screen door was broken and my husband was very concerned about the tape around all the outlets. He didn’t feel it was safe so we didn’t stay a second night. However, if you can get passed all that, it has a nice deck, the lake is just a few feet away and it’s just very pretty and peaceful.
