Beautiful beautiful Peneda de Gerês National Park. There are loads of waterfalls, river gorges and hiking trails along with traditional Portuguese villages. Every hiker and waterfall chaser should make a visit. We stayed in Campo de Gerês and spent a couple of days driving and hiking in the area. It’s been raining every day on this trip but it’s lovely nonetheless.

"Exceptionally clean and well maintained. The check in process was smooth and the host was easily accessible and accommodating as we our plane was late and we needed to drop baggage and go before official checkin time.The kitchen facilities were excellent with some essentials stocked, making it easy to settle in before doing any shopping. "What a fantastic property! The views over the Calvado river valley are spectacular! The pool is great and the accommodation perfect for a large family group. Built into the hillside and made of wood and local stone, the house seems to appear from nowhere, nestling into the surroundings. You feel completely isolated, though the local town is just five minutes drive away. There’s plenty to do in the national park and great water sports on the reservoir in the valley!"
