"We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge, though the drive to it, once off the main highway is one twsty and winding and uphill climb, to be sure. I have driven many roads in mountainous areas in other locations and this one was the most demanding of any of them, in other countries and mountain ranges.
The room was great for us and parking was nearby, making it easy to unload, head out for our plans for each day, and load back up, when it was time to head out. We especially enjoyed the garden areas designed to attract a variety of birds, but espeically hummingbirds. We also found the nearby Batsú Gardens a treasure of a find for an even greater variety of birds, due to more variety of habitats they have created, especially if you are patient and observant.
We had a couple of dinners on site also, one in the main restaurant and one in the bar/lounge and both were good and reasonably priced.
If we make it back into this area, this lodge would certainly be a great option."
