"Loved every moment of our stay"

"Fantastic room - spacious, nicely decorated, very clean, huge beds that were very comfortable. Pillow menu available. Coffee machine provided, along with a mini fridge with cold bottles of water. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board also provided in room. Individually controlled air con was also much appreciated. Only negative was the size of the bathroom - very small, with a shower over a bath, which was difficult to climb in / out of. The bath is too small to use a bath so this could be better designed as a walk in shower. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t sample the restaurants but we did enjoy a cocktail in The Soak Bar. "

"Clean room, location is great for theatres and shops, thought it was good value. Lack of window isn't great, but we knew that before we arrived."

"A very warm welcome and early check-in which was much appreciated. Check-in was highly efficient. Doormen were very friendly and eager to assist. If anything, front of house service was a little overbearing. I fully appreciate that staff are striving to deliver the most attentive service, but at times it felt more intrusive rather than helpful. The room was finished to a fair standard, but lacked the luxurious feel of 5*. The breakfast buffet is adequate, but not outstanding. There is a basic selection of pastries, cereals, yoghurts and fruit. Staff were slow to replenish the buffet and the service at breakfast was somewhat lacking. The fitness facility is poor, but I am extremely grateful to a manager who arranged for me to use a gym at a neighbouring hotel. The price point of this hotel is excellent and the location is superb. "

"The Good: nice towels, clean, nice breakfast with many choices, very courteous porters; good location near Victoria Station The Bad: a lobby overrun with guests awaiting to check in at 3pm, just awful; 2 petulant check-in clerks; a single occupancy room so small that the chair could not be pulled from the desk because of the proximiry to the bed, the small refrigerator door could only be opened half way; absolutely no space to open suitcase except in the hallway in front of the bathroom and room doors; the single rooms are isolated from the rest of the rooms and at the end of the hallway (think past 18 rooms, outside the hallway and next to a secondary elevator); banging on the ceiling and windows for several hours every night. Spoke to the manager, he was dismissive and offered an upgrade for an additional £60. It’s not about the upgrade, it’s about providing the BASIC amount of space - enough room to be able to open luggage, even the luggage rack could not be opened without restricting the ability to move in the room. I asked the manager to come to the room and see for himself and his response is that he “knew” the room. Obviously he has never stayed overnight in the room and said he was “very busy”. I checked out a day early after having prepaid my stay; the night manager offered a better room but frankly I was done with this hotel. Never again with a RIU hotel. "

"Lovely spacious, clean room. Good level of soundproofing, no noise from surrounding rooms. Excellent location 6mins walk from Covent Garden Tube Station & 5 mins from the Adelphi Theatre. Breakfast was good, attentive staff and the usual cooked and continental options"
