"The hotel is a little tired and is due for some updates, but the room was very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable enough, but not the newest. The complimentary breakfast was good, and having parking available in downtown Halifax was very helpful. The downtown location was great allowing us to walk to our tours and many great restaurants & attractions. The staff were the stars of the hotel as they were very pleasant and helpful. We were also very lucky to be able to get into our room early allowing us to check into our room before a morning tour. I would recommend the Cambridge hotel."

"Kitchen was very well supplied. We had everything we needed. Our biggest complaint was not with the unit itself, but with how loud it was outside the room. We had problems with punching in the lobby code (it wouldn't work). Tried phoning the owner and got no response. We were finally able to open with our phone. We are seniors and some of these technologies are a little confusing. The unit had a lot to offer and was walking distance to the beautiful waterfront boardwalk."

"The hotel is in a lovely part of Halifax. It’s an old hotel that has been looked after very well. The only issue we had is that the front desk staff could not answer questions on any tours that we were interested in. I would highly recommend this Hotel."

"Beautiful old hotel in a perfect central location - easily walkable to the Halifax boardwalk, sights and restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, other than the fact that it was freezing cold the entire time we were there (one night). There is a beautiful ground floor lounge with comfortable leather and other easy chairs where we spent a couple of hours each afternoon before dinner reading and enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to get a parking space in their limited lot behind the hotel, and there is a loading zone right in front of the door for bringing your luggage in and out easily. We didn't avail ourselves of their box breakfast in the a.m. though it sounds like it is pretty good. There are numerous breakfast choices within a few minutes walk of the hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and highly recommend!"
