Train tour

Stayed here for my train trip from Canberra railway station to Bungendore and back. Good size cabin with everything, small tv no WiFi in cabin except rec room. Its even got a pub on the property that was pretty good, don't have to worry about driving.

This property was advertised as having free internet. However, when we arrived, we found internet was only available in the lounge, not in individual rooms.

This property is half run down cabin half debilitated buildings that people live in. We only stayed one night out of our two because, well, gross!!! A shame that it was non refundable. Note to self, read reviews prior to booking.

The cabin wasn’t well maintained! Running faucet - absolute waste of water in the bathroom! The exhaust fan on the range hood didn’t work. The patio light bulb was blown so it was rather unsafe to walk up to the door. All these were reported but nothing was done about it. The heater wasn’t functioning properly with the cold nights (below zero degrees) causing restlessness! Poor service and bad experience, would not recommend anyone to stay.

The cabin felt really outdated and old, and we had an issue with ants in the kitchen area. The blinds also did nothing to keep out the heat so coming back to the cabin on a hot day, it took ages to cool it down. And you arent allowed to leave the air con on when you go out. The internet was also not in the cabin and to use the wifi, you had to go to the Rec Room which was not convenient when you have work meetings early in the morning or just need to check your messages at any time. The playground was also shut for repairs during our stay. It was a cheap stay.
