Sometimes you find out the hard way. This would be the perfect place to stay in the fall or winter. But it is impossible during the summer. That is unless you don't mind sleeping in an 80 degree room. This one bedroom cabin has a single window AC unit in the dining room. The unit is maybe a 5000 BTU unit intended for a single room up to 150 sq. ft. Which is all well and good if you want to sleep in the dining room. It does very little for cooling the bedroom. There is a box fan provided as well. After trying multiple way to get air flowing into the rest of the house, I tried everything from placing a chair on top of the small table in the kitchen, next to the AC unit with the box fan in the chair to move air with no luck. It was so uncomfortable that the only way to get relief was to spend the night in the truck in the driveway. At least there was AC in the truck. We didn't use the hot tub for fear that it was already unbearable in the house and we did not want to further the discomfort. Very disappointed. I am not one to leave a bad review as I am a realtor who has managed hundreds of vacation rentals along the coast over the last 13 years and I understand sometimes things happen. But, in this case a second AC in the bedroom would be a $200 investment in a nearly $200 per night unit that would make a world of difference. It's done now, the money is spent and the milestone birthday we were celebrating has come and gone. If your vehicle AC works, you should be ok like we were.
