"This is a really nice quiet hotel, in a very quiet location with lovely tidy rooms, excellent waffles for breakfast also a decent selection of other options. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice indoor dining area also a nice outdoor seating area. "Decor is a little bit tired, mostly clean although the shower head hadn't been cleaned in a long while. Staff were pleasant and helpful but have the air of someone that had been dragooned in to manning the desk due to wearing tracksuit bottoms and a puffer jacket. Quite quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Tea, coffee and kettle in the room. WiFi and mobile reception was not good. It was fine for my needs and I slept well."

"Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. Hotel could do with a couple of touch ups, but it was clean and friendly and an absolute bargain compared to other options. Very good breakfast too"
