The whole Hotel is looking tired and dated and a little bare. It looks and feels more like an old Travelodge than a Spa Hotel. Breakfast was mediocre and we had to asks for fresh pastries as the ones out were stale. Staff did the job but no information was offered at Check-in we had to find out the location of the restaurant and dining times ourselves. The room was spacious and clean but a long walk from reception.

This was booked months ago for a birthday getaway. We arrived late ( our fault I know ), went to the car park and then had to wait 25 minutes to check in ( partner is due to give birth in 2 weeks ) Then we needed a sat nav to get to the room. Ok room was nice and clean ( Tv didn’t work ). So we thought ok go to the hot tub and relax, asked a member of staff for directions and was told it was literally straight down the walkway and through the door. We got to the pool and it was freezing, the hot tub was a cold tub so that was very disappointing indeed. Bed comfy and shower good as well. Then breakfast the next morning was booked for 9:45 and had to q so the staff member could seat 8 other people that were booked for 10am, then got to us and said “let me see if we have a table” and walked off, 10 minutes go by and we still waiting, then see the same woman serving coffee out to people all whilst 4/5 tables are clearly empty. So a different staff member comes over to seat us. Partner is not happy with this at all and after the good reviews I was really looking forward to my stay.

The hotel location is perfect — very convenient and close to everything. The customer service is outstanding, and all the facilities are excellent. However, the breakfast menu is quite limited and could use more variety. Additionally, I noticed a bee in the breakfast area, which should be checked for better hygiene
