Great value relative to other stays in Canmore and Banff. The spa was good and so was the restaurant. They had a wood burning fire place in the lobby with complimentary board games.
Hotel was average nothing spectacular. The one reason we booked it was because of the Nordic spa. Price are extremely high Didn’t really see the value for $$$. Restaurant food was not great and service was terrible. They did make up for it but switching our server and she was wonderful. Sabrina was the only person that stood out at this hotel.
The accommodations were clean and within driving or walking distance to down town Canmore. The staff were kind and very helpful. The Nordic Spa was outstanding.
My experience here was great. The hotel is very peaceful, the massage I received was 1000/10 and I really enjoyed the food at the restaurant. The only minor issue was during my stay there were issues withe the wifi which forced me to REALLY unplug, however other than that, everything was great and I see myself returning.
As a wedding photographer who refers a lot of clients, I wanted to try Everwild out first.
Pros:
New, lots of spa rooms and variety with hydrotherapy, clean hotel and updated rooms, easy parking, restaurant on-site. Wristband to pay for things / get into lockers.
Cons: issue with check in, staff told me to call expedia, expedia told me only hotel could make the changes (it was a stressful start), didn't feel as upscale upon checkin as pomeroy does, we were not notified that there would be active construction during our stay (a very loud backhoe during full treatment time if 3.5 hours which was distracting) we would have liked to have been at least told about it beforehand or offered a discount as the price is similar to pomeroy, beanbag chairs in domes were wet (ew) perhaps cedar recliners would be better? The fence was only 6 feet so we could still see the highway and hear a lot of road noise- not super relaxing, cell phone use wasn't enforced (A man was FACETIMING from one of the pools...) They kick you out of the treatment rooms for "rituals" where you have to stand in line to wait to get back in...tough to book into the rituals ahead of time. Restaurant options felt a bit limited. You can't add bacon to a burger? Rooms had price tags on the lotions - it just didn't feel upscale.
Overall it was "okay" I am not sure if I'll be back yet or if I feel comfortable referring my clients there.
Just the unit room. But the amenities they don’t have pool just for the Spa where they can make money. But no free pool just the small hot tub only. There’s no water bottle for complementary after the expensive booking. They want their guest to spend more money for their restaurant and amenities.
I would have liked when we left, smaller crowds in the spa..... the change rooms were extremely crowded..... Too busy to shower.
Really loved the theme rooms, where they had special events.... But didn't know about the special events until we arrived.
The staff in the food area were great... Really nice and friendly.
The facility caters to the Nordic Spa users. We didn’t understand that when we booked the room. However it is still a beautiful facility in a majestic location. Staff are helpful and friendly. One of the care takers voluntarily helped with our luggage, one of the cleaning staff helped find a table for the room to accommodate my CPAP machine.
It was great one day experience with my family, though it adds up and on the pricier side Spa, food in lounge and restaurant and the stay. I prefer the king suite than the double bedroom, as well. Food was good but serve in small portion.
