"My family and I booked at the last minute so we could go view the Solar Eclipse. The process of booking, checking in and checking out was a breeze. Jodey was very responsive and extremely helpful in making our stay very enjoyable. We would highly recommend a stay here, and we hope to return for a Christmas visit to Santa Claus."

"We typically stay in Ferdinand every year for a family reunion. We weren't able to stay at our normal place this year and found this on a whim. It was absolutely perfect. My mother was with us and I had a recent knee injury. Everything was easy in and out, the layout was also convenient. It is certainly in an area that we call God's Country, but the STARS you see at night are worth it! Amazing. The cozy porch was perfect for star gazing or morning coffee. We had a fawn and a hummingbird join us...

"This was our families second time to stay at Martin Ridge. We love it here. Something for everyone, pool, fishing wonderful surroundings. The house was immaculate and it is equipped with everything you would have in your home. Joanne and her family are wonderful hosts. Met her grandsons and they are polite, respectful and wonderful boys. Already booked for next year!"

"This place was everything it said it was and more. It is a beautiful home! ALL beds were amazing. Plenty of room for the entire family. There was so much to do with pool table, games, hot tub. Parking was a breeze and plenty of room for boats, jet skis and vehicles. The host was amazing also. She replied within minutes a of asking a question. We will definitely stay here again. I can not say enough about this place!!!! Separate living areas were great also. The adults could hang in their space...

"We had a guys weekend away that included grilling out, playing games, and hanging out. There were a large group of us and the house fit our needs perfectly while giving us an atmosphere that we could relax in and enjoy the natural beauty of Rough River. Mitch was an excellent hose and super easy to work with. My whole group and I would highly recommend!"

"We had a very short visit at this property but would have been happy staying much longer. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking all types of meals, there was a full size washer & dryer and the beds were comfy. Great little touches, like board games and a selection of DVDs and an outdoor fire pit (bring your own wood) with seating and an outdoor grill. Nice yard for the kids to run around, play catch, etc. Even though it was on a main road, it was very quiet."

"We had a blast in both the cabin and on Patoka lake! We rented the space for a high school graduation getaway/ Father’s Day/ Retirement trip for our senior dogs lol! "If you have a boat and are looking for something right by the lake this place is perfect! Everything was great and there was plenty of room in the house and plenty of space for parking with a boat. The hot tub was also a nice little addition. The owner was easy to get a hold of and very kind, even got in touch with us to let us know about the bad weather coming in. Would definitely stay again!"

"We stayed for 2 days. Brought steaks and other goodies to grill. We enjoyed the view from the deck. We refilled the hummingbird feeder and enjoyed the many visitors. We've never heard a hummingbird chirp! It was a nice quiet getaway to reset and recharge. We'll be back next time we want a quiet getaway."
