"Paid extra for a bigger room with windows. Instead, got a small, windowless room that looked nothing like any of the multitude of pictures provided. Called to request an explanation why and was told that it was the biggest room they had at the time. Then why did I have to pay extra to reserve such a room if it wasn't going to be available by the time I showed up? Bed frame was cracked, giving the mattress little support, and the frame creaked everytime you turn in bed. TV reception was buggy...

"This hotel was nicer than I expected. I needed a hotel close to the HSR station for a night so I could catch an early train the following morning. The room was larger and more comfortable than what I usually get in Taiwan and the staff were helpful getting checked in and out. Do note that it's not really close to the HSR station - you'll still need to take a bus, taxi, or do a fair bit of walking to the local train to get there. But if you need a very reasonably priced hotel on this side of town...
