"A true gem. This is my new go-to place for the first (and second) night in Cape Town. Most international flights arrive in the early morning and commercial downtown hotels do not let you check in before 3 pm. Most of us are exhausted. So make your way to Franschhoek against traffic and stop at some wineries on the way. Then rest at La Fontaine. Many fine restaurants within 0.5 miles. Lovely breakfast and exceptional service."

"The hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. "Property was nice, clean and accessible. They asked us if OK not to service the room due to lack of resources, which was fine and accepted. We unfortunately lost the keys for one of the rooms, it must have fallen out of my pocket after parking and walking to a restaurant. The owner freaked out about that, we accepted responsibility and apologised.
