"We stayed in the marina villa in a renovated room which was very nice. Everything worked well including the AC! There are great additions to South Seas like the new waterpark and the BEACH House restaurant. There is still active construction where the hotel was before the hurricane. All of the staff was great EXCEPT ONE VERY NASTY TROLLEY DRIVER who was upset because we were parking our bicycles in the shade because of the 100 degrees hitting our seats. The bikes were not in anybody's way, but I guess he thought he was the bicycle police. Anyway, we will return. Great job South Seas on the renovation!"

"Beautiful home just a short walk to the beach. We nearly had the beach to ourselves during our late August stay. Great shell beach with plenty of space to walk. The view was gorgeous and the waves were mostly gentle. Very relaxing.The inside of the home exceeded our expectations even though the photos looked promising. Our group was small, but this house has so many venues for sitting and gathering, it would be great for a large family or multiple families traveling together. The private pool was fabulous and so pretty. Having two outdoor shower/rinse-off options was handy.We didn't use the outdoor games but I can imagine how wonderful they would be if we'd had a larger group, with kids of all ages. Recommend you pick up some citronella candles while you're enjoying the outdoor areas, and invest in organic bug sprays."
Spacious 5-Bedroom Captiva Home with Private Pool & Spa

"We were there with 9 adults and 2 toddlers. Everything was ready for us and the beach experience was beyond as the water was perfect and the beach was quiet and an easy walk from the house. We are Floridians and it's our favorite beach in the state. Beach chairs come with the house and the wagon was superb for the kids and hauling. We brought tons of food but there are plenty of places to shop on the way in on Sanibel. We went to our favorite Grandma Dots which we have been to many times. We have been to Captiva many many times and Wightman lane is the best street hands down. We all had a great time and will definitely return."

"Room clean but small actually hotel room. Bathroom is roomy shower is nice but has no dresser for storage. two drawers under the bed. small closet. perfect combination for two. Screen porch ground level direct access to the beach. No view of Beach the dunes have been replaced. Which took away the view. But worked well for us for the three days we stayed 140 yards to sand and water perfect."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Almost Heaven was exactly that! It checked off all the boxes for our family! We loved that it was just across the street from the beach. The Pool and putting green area was well used also! We will definitely consider it for our next trip to Sanibel/Captiva!"

"We had a fantastic stay at this house! It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach and several great restaurants, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer.The pool was one of the highlights of our stay. It was very clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Overall, a very nice property and a nice island to stay on. There were a few very minor things like a hinge loose and curtain holders pulled loose but nothing at all to take away from the enjoyment of the stay. When pointed out, the host responded no worries and they would take care of it. The pool was awesome and our kids enjoyed it greatly!!!!"

"The property was beautiful and had amazing amenities however there were definitely overall cleanliness and maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Biggest issue were the worn out and dirty kitchen items. Definitely needs the owner/management to come in and do a thorough review. Seems like when the cleaners come in they do a quick surface clean and aren’t really checking anything at all (including dishes put away dirty). I do want to say the management was very friendly and quick to respond and we had a wonderful trip overall. Some general refresh and ongoing clean up would go a long way, especially for the price."
