"We recently stayed at Serenade Punta Cana in the Elite Level adults-only section. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with wonderful tropical grounds, palm trees, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our spacious two-room suite was very nice, but unfortunately the jacuzzi, which we were really looking forward to, stopped working because the water drained out by itself.
Our biggest disappointment was the Elite Level pool service. This is supposed to be the resort’s highest level, yet during our entire stay no one came around the pool to offer drinks or provide service. The Elite pool serves only about 40–60 guests, so for guests paying extra for this level, regular poolside service should be expected.
The all-inclusive food was also disappointing. I have visited the Dominican Republic more than 30 times and stayed at around 40 resorts, so I have considerable experience with all-inclusive resorts. The overall food quality and selection did not match the standard of this beautiful hotel. The restaurants were okay and we had some good meals, but the general all-inclusive food needs significant improvement.
On a very positive note, the spa was excellent, especially our experience with Yoselin and Mary Deysy. Would I return? Yes, I would like to, because this is a beautiful resort with great potential. However, I would hope for better Elite pool service, improved food quality, and properly working room amenities before returning."
