"We loved this resort and plan to return in the future. Dorado is lovely and quiet. There are many convenient businesses and delicious restaurants nearby. This resort has a cozy feel. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. The resort truly ensures the comfort of their guests, providing helpful and thoughtful supplies. Every need has been considered. The service was excellent. The staff is very knowledgeable about food in the area. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable, and well stocked. The resort is beautiful, the vegetation is lush and the grounds are well maintained, the beach is clean and it feels secluded. The pools and hot tubs were clean and welcoming. There’s a shallow children’s pool. There’s also life jackets for the children to be able to swim with their parents as a family in the larger, deeper pool. There’s more than adequate seating areas throughout. The activities and games were great. We had so much fun. We enjoyed seeing wild horses grazing on the surrounding property, as well as iguanas sunning themselves near the pool, crabs climbing on the rocks, and sea birds diving into the waves. The relaxing sounds of the ocean, and the coquis at night. The sunset at the beach is very memorable. Loved the food and drink at the Mahi Mahi Grill. They had very nice mango piña coladas. We recommend the fresh seafood! I had the Ensalada de pulpo with Tostones."

"Overall experience at the hotel was great. The room was big and clean. The landscape is well maintained. My kids loved the pool and the game room. Food choices at the buffet where good. There is a clear difference in service at the buffet restaurants and other restaurants at the hotel. The service at the other restaurants is better. The waiters en service personnel are friendlier. To eat at the other restaurants you need to make a reservation. There is a clear problem with the reservations for the other restaurants. It is difficult to get a reservation and ones you get it and you are 15 minutes late your reservation is canceled. I ended up getting 25 minutes late because of an excursion and the manager canceled our reservation. The different shows at night at the theatre where great."
