This cozy studio is located right on the beach in Carlsbad and is a perfect getaway for two people. It is within walking distance of all the great shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, and entertainment Carlsbad has to offer. This studio has a pullout queen sofa sleeper that can be tucked away during the daytime and brought out for sleeping and relaxing. The sliding glass door opens to a beautiful view of the pacific ocean. Enjoy the sound of the waves breaking on the shore, beautiful sunsets, and playing in the ocean. The home has a flatscreen TV and free WiFi. The kitchen is equipped with the supplies needed for cooking or barbecuing.

Parking notes: Street parking is available on a first-come-first-serve basis; parking is not guaranteed.


Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Fantastic Views!

The property was well kept and communication was timely and accurate. It needs a few minor repairs, but nothing that was an inconvenience. The ocean is literally right outside and the view from the patio is fantastic! I like that the steps to the ocean are private, so there is not a lot of traffic on them. Although parking is directly on Ocean St., I had no issues finding a spot, even during busy hours. The price was great for everything you got. Perfect place for me. I hope to return!

Location is the best!

The two best things were location and also how clean the place was!!Furniture dated as most reviews mentioned BUT cleanliness beat it all. This property was right on the beach. Great location. Some days we didn’t even need to sit on the beach we just sat on the patio. It had everything we needed for our beach vacation. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets right from the patio.

Great beachfront location.

This is a Small studio. The 2 casual chairs in the unit are very uncomfortable and the patio chairs need cushions if you want to sit outside enjoying the ocean for long periods.The only entrance door is a sliding glass door from the patio which is incredibly hard to slide open and closed. My wife couldn’t do it, I struggled with it. No air conditioning but the fan’s really cool the space. The pull chain on the ceiling fan is broken so you can’t reach it to turn it on or off without standing dangerously on a bar stool. My wife and had one hand towel and 2 wash cloths and 2 bath towels. When I contacted them we were told they do not provide additional towels outside of the initial supply. The initial supply was not adequate for 2 people. We were told there was a laundry about a mile away. Other than it’s location this place was very disappointing.

Great spot for a getaway!

Loved the location and appreciated the improvements since last year. One thing of note, most of the kitchen appliances were unplugged. We had to pull out the microwave and oven to find the cords before we could use them!

Perfect for a couple

Great location and just the right size and amenities for a couple. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the beach, ocean and village, this is it! The bed is only okay and the bathroom is very small, but it was a perfect place to fall into bed exhausted at night.

Great location “rough” amenities

Did not know there was no AC. Room was uncomfortable warm most days. A bit like indoor camping. Did not meet modern lodging standards. Need taller cleaning staff to reach top of refrigerator and shower. Great location and GREAT beach view.

Terrible

Property was not as advertised in some ways. Terrible bed. Bathroom was still dirty. Mold around tub. Unable to gain access until much later in evening as lock on door broken so we lost a night and next day of some plans already made.

Great character suite on the beach!

Location, Location, Location! Tucked in the heart of Carlsbad Village could sometimes make daytime parking challenging, but everything you need is walkable, so for the first few days we parked the car and never used it. Just steps away from the ocean! We made use of our patio space; laying out in the sun, grilling dinner and enjoying it at the outdoor table. Perfect amount of space for 2 of us - just my teen daughter and I. We were in town for a soccer tournament. We ordered groceries and picked them up on the way into town from Walmart so we didn’t have to eat out every night. But we were surrounded by great restaurants and ice cream shops. Made the tournament a great vacation too.

Great spot for a getaway

Easy beach access and so many restaurants within walking distance! The sound of waves and cool breezes made it very relaxing. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful ocean view

Beautiful view. Not very private. Neighbors walk in front of windows each time they come and go. Didn’t realize it was a studio but the ocean sounds made up for it.
