"The best part of our stay was the property outside. Grounds were beautiful and they have a 9 hole putting green which was fun ( especially if you don’t golf). The hotel/rooms are very dated (old). Our tv didn’t work and our toilet stopped working. Had to use the facility in the lobby area"

"While the room and spacious and in a great location, the front office lady was very condescending, rude, and treats guests like children. I would not stay here again for that reason alone."

"Very clean"

"I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years and it’s usually a very friendly experience. Maybe it’s a new ownership, but the staff wasn’t very kind this time around."

"Great Location. Friendly Staff!"

"Super clean room and bathroom. Convenient location, reasonably priced. The lady who checked us in was informative and very pleasant."

"The Normandy is a beautiful cozy inn tucked in the shopping district of Carmel by the sea. Perfect for walking to the cafe for breakfast or a romantic dinner around the corner."

"Hotel is unique and nice. Rooms were great and comfortable. Whole property was nice. Location is great, close to trail. Staff was amazing. Breakfast excellent. The wine and snack hour was exceptional."

"Really enjoyed our stay here - lovely room with high quality furnishings and linen. The breakfast and happy hour were really great touches! Parking a bit tricky - small spaces and limited. Having said that, we always got parked! Great location in the centre of Carmel! Staff also super helpful arranging to post an item we accidentally left behind. We would absolutely stay again!"
