"Overall the property was clean, beautifu and had very helpful staff, however, the rooms were a different story at least for my experience. The room had a musty smell to it and the bathroom had mold. Some of the outlets didn't work which were a little inconvenient but there were others to use thankfully. Bathroom is on the smaller side but still generally enough space. Seating was very limited at breakfast, but the staff did try to have a quick table turnover for people that were waiting. Breakfast was limited in options and fruits ran out within the first 10 minutes of opening time... not sure how quickly more became available if any. Dinner was slow and quiet with not much people attending. Prices were reasonable and staff was great! Drinks were good and the food came out hot with no long wait time. They also closed late which was nice for people who had long days and wanted to have dinner on the late side. Private shuttle was available for flights earlier than 5:15am also at a reasonable price, which we utilized. We checked Uber pricing and there wasn't a great difference, however, you have a more secured transportation going through the hotel than you do Uber considering the time that you might be leaving for the airport."

"We stayed at Studio Hotel Boutique for one night before our flight home, and it was the perfect ending to our Costa Rica trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport while still feeling far removed from the hustle and bustle of San José. The hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. As a studio hotel, art is featured throughout the property, creating a unique and visually appealing atmosphere. Everywhere you look, there is something interesting to admire. Breakfast was included and was excellent, with plenty of options for those following a vegan diet. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our short stay very enjoyable. The location was ideal for us. We spent the day at nearby La Hacienda La Chimba, where we enjoyed zip lining and hiking. The trail was especially interesting because it features a giant Buddha statue, a massive hand sculpture, and other unique works of art along the way. It made for a fun and memorable excursion before our flight home. Despite being just minutes from the airport, the hotel still felt like we were experiencing the heart of Costa Rica. It is also within walking distance of shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area without driving. If you're looking for a comfortable, artistic hotel near the airport that still offers an authentic Costa Rican atmosphere, Studio Hotel Boutique is an excellent choice."

"Julio was the absolute best! My husband and I went to Barcelo Tambor for our anniversary. We paid for 6 nights and stayed 4. The staff and people at the resort made it very clear that Americans weren’t welcome. We packed and left to find a hotel in San Jose and we decided on the Wyndham. Julio was there every step of the way and made us feel very welcome and we joked with him why we should’ve just stayed there the whole week! He gave us a local restaurant to try and it didn’t disappoint! We loved our stay here and the entire staff was very welcoming and helped with anything that we needed! I HIGHLY suggest staying here! And it is only a 10 min drive to the San Jose airport!!!"
