"This hotel is located just outside the walled city and is a perfect location. The staff could not have been nicer. They showed us to our room, offered a welcome drink/happy hour, and even packed us a "to go" breakfast because we had to leave before it started in the morning. As a bonus, the hotel is total kitsch designed in a medieval style, and they let you try on knight headpieces, swords and shields. It was a very nice and easy stay."

"Great location - just a 2-min walk from the walled city. The breakfast was perfect, many options for all kind of tastes. Even my mom, who has many dietary restrictions, was able to eat well. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view. The room had a slight smell of mold, but it didn’t bother us."

"The hotel was nice and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was good. Obidos is a quaint, fairy tale town, but it does get extremely crowded in the day. It is quiet in the morning and at night after the tourist buses leave. We needed a base to explore the region, and staying in Obidos was a great solution for us. Parking - I read reviews that parking was hard to find. It was not hard as there is a big lot by the aqueduct right when you enter the town. The hotel went out of their way to make sure we had the information ahead of time. You do have to wheel luggage on cobblestones for a while or take a bag you can carry or pre-arrange a drop off closer."

"The check in process took over 1 hour. Ridiculously slow. My check in alone took over 1/2 hour. The hotel is not easy to get to. There is no parking at the hotel. It is a bit of a walk up hill from the parking area."

"Ive stayed there many times over a 26 year period. Its always been very good. Rooms are excellent, spacious, clean, missed the minibar being stocked but thats all. Comfortable beds, heating/air con great, lovely fluffy bath towels, great power shower. Breakfast is truly excellent buffet, English and Continental. Evening meal was part of a package arranged for my friends who were with me, and 2 nights it was frankly inedible. The restaurant relented and let them have the á la carte on the last night, but this is the reason for my 4star rating. Also Breakfast on Wednesday, 3 coach loads of Japanese tourists came in just for breakfast. Ive never seen so many Japanese outside of Japan. For guests, getting even a cup of coffee took 30 mins and forget getting a table. So this was disappointing too. But overall very good value and nice to see restaurant manager Luis still there after 29 years! "
