"We had a comfortable room with a patio overlooking the Douro River. Staff very friendly. The only negative from our point of view was the window from the shower into the room. The botton 2/3 rds are translucent and upper 1/3 clear. If a light is turned on in bathroom bedroom is lit up as well . Also the obvious privacy issues. Other than the the room , hotel , staff, bar and restaurant are great."

"Host was amazing. Had to change my dates and he was very flexible with me. Also extremely responsive and super nice! We were made to feel at home with food & drinks in the fridge, bathrobes & slippers, wine (for purchase) and an amazing view of the Douro River! Great place and great host. "

"Because of the high ceiling wooden structure, there was constantly loud popping sound, which makes it hard to fall asleep to. There were half dozen flies in the unit when we arrived. Unit is super spacious and convenient."
