Very nice hotel with rooms facing directly to the Douro River. Very good location from which to do boat or train rides or winery tours. Staff we were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with a very nice balcony to sit on and looks over the river.

GREAT location! And parking in a lot included, which was amazing after a long drive! Staff was very nice. Room is very outdated, but overall comfortable. Had a lovely little balcony overlooking the river which was so nice! Our original room had issues smelling like sewage - we went to the front desk late at night and they immediately switched our room. But no A/C so it was a bit warm, we opened the balcony door to cool off but be aware. I would likely stay again, b/c of the location, walking distance to the entire cute little town.

Tired but nice hotel.

Staff very friendly and pleasant. Hotel looks a bit tired. We stayed on the second floor under the restaurants and could hear tables, chairs moving at gone 11 at night and 6 in the morning. Our room had horrible frosted windows so we couldn’t see out. We had booked the restaurant for our first night as liked the menu, when we arrived were told it had been changed to a buffet as a coach party in, I struggled for food choice as pork dish was mixed with clams. Chose to eat in Regua the other nights.

Scenic comfort on the Douro

We were offered a switch to a river view when we checked in and it was well worth it. We got a fabulous view across to the Sandeman's estate opposite and of the river either side. The room itself was very good, decent size, quiet and comfortable. Service was superb apart from the long wait at times to get a drink at the bar. It was worth the wait for the very comfortable lounge which had a huge picture window overlooking the Douro. Breakfast is very good, a well stacked buffet with a wide variety of items. Only disappointment was the restaurant where we decided to eat one night only to find a pretty poor buffet set up for a large coach party staying that night. If we had known we would have eaten at one of the many alternatives outside.

Location is perfect, we had a riverside view and it was fantastic. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was excellent and the staff was very nice and accommodating. We will stay there again in our next trip to Pedro da Regua.

ONCE again our Hotel.com reservation has us in a lousy room! I think they figure your customer get such a good price that the hotel can give you the crappy room! The first room we were put in was so bad- you could not see out the window- there were so old that they were opaque!! We were moved to a room with a view ONLY after being unsatisfied with the first room! A lot of extra work to be their guest!!

Well… based on reviews it was supposed to be exceptional. First bump, breakfast was supposed to be included in our booking which was not the case. We had to pay in advance and got it reimbursed. Luckily for all parties we were traveling with a teenager and could spend hours on the phone to resolve the issue. 48 hours to our stay, breakfast is there. Cold bacon and eggs for 12€ per person is overrated, especially when you know that you can have a full meal for the same amount of. Then comes the pool: ONE umbrella available for the whole guests. Hotel was featuring pool side snack and bar: still waiting on that. They might have moved elsewhere. The sport room was “unavailable for the rest of our stay” My advice go there for 2 days, but not any longer. Housekeeping was nevertheless wonderful! Great work. Will not recommend it, if traveling with some expectations.

Alugamos 2 quartos para uma noite. Excelente localização, amplo estacionamento, café da manhã poderia ser um pouco melhor. O hotel embora muito limpo e com boa manutenção tem moveis muito antigos e carpetes nos quartos o que não me agrada. O ar condicionado central esta no modo aquecer e portanto não podia ser ligado para refrescar o quarto que estava bem quente
