"Clean, comfortable, spacious cottage especially the second floor bedroom; well appointed with nice kitchen/refrigerator and all needed kitchen ware, wifi, efficient air conditioning units, beautiful lakefront, bed linens and towels fresh and clean, washer and dryer available on property, close to Port Austin, and Caseville, restaurants and putt put course. "My 18 year old daughter suddenly became available for a last minute family trip so I scrambled to find someplace that would accommodate myself, 13-year old son, my daughter and her boyfriend as well. I was lucky enough to find Harper’s Hangout! It was only 2-1/2 hour drive for us, offered enough privacy for everyone, AND we could bring our dog!When we arrived, it was super clean, the A/C was at a perfect temp, and it was as welcoming as can be! It is decorated very tastefully. I came prepared with paper products; however, none were needed as the home is extremely well stocked with what is needed for your stay.The extra 1/2 bath is a big bonus for a family stay, as is the washer/dryer and access to beach towels.While there aren’t a tremendous amount of shops in town, we definitely found enough to do in our 5-day stay. The beach was gorgeous, people were friendly everywhere we went, and we even found a dog park! We went horseback riding, played mini-golf, shopped, explored Port Austin, hiked, and ate alot of ice cream! The supermarket and Dollar General are both 5 minutes from the home and have pretty much everything you would need for cooking or any items you may have forgotten. I would definitely recommend Harper’s Hangout and would go back in the future!"
