"This georgian house is impressive but in great need of some TLC. Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. I'd urge the owner to get this under control before it takes hold of the property. A few features in the description are untrue: there is no games...

"Beautiful location on the water. Fireplace for turf fires. Basic accommodations but basic is all you need in such a fantastic locality. The folks in Carna were accommodating. Be careful while driving here - but you probably already know that."

"We loved our stay in Callow which is the best location in Connemara. The information provided by the hosts was great and helped us plan our walks and activities every day. The local beach is beautiful and quiet and great for a swim. At low tide you can walk to the island and explore which the kids loved. The mountain & sea views from every part of the house are spectacular and there are nice seating areas dotted all over the gardens to enjoy. "

"We had a love stay on the outskirts of Oughterard! The property was quiet and remote and very enjoyable! Only thing I would say is we were a little confused on how to access the property at first because the address given stops at the cottages. I would also have liked the property manager to be more responsive, but the local contact was very helpful! Over all, this stay was great and will be incredibly memorable for a long time!"

Debbie, as our host, goes so much further than ever expected, providing anything and everything we were needing or just would like to have!...
