Villa Sirio

8/10 Good

"This is an ideally located hotel on the shoreline, that is beautifully maintained, and run by a family. They have a restaurant that was not open while I was there, but every morning there is a generous continental breakfast within the confines of the restaurant, with tea, coffee, espresso, lattes, etc made to order. The room was clean and comfortable with a functional air conditioner. My only complaint was their version of a mini bar which consisted of some beverages like sodas, beer, and water. I drank the sparkling and still waters (one each, approximately 16 ounces). Most hotels offer 1-2 bottles of free water to their arriving guests, which is what I thought they were. I was charged 2 euros each bottle, plus a 6 euro restocking fee. Not a big deal, but the extra charge gives me the impression that the hotel is struggling."

"Had a lovely room with a great sea view in one of the villas in the grounds of the old Palazzo. Really good air con as well as a separate fan to keep the room cool - really important given the temperature during our visit (around 30 to 32 degrees every day). Also loved having 2 sun beds on our balcony as well as another table, chairs and a large umbrella. l would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a place with history & loads of character. The old parts of the Palazzo were lovely, staff very helpful showing us around the hotel & to our room, on arrival, via golf cart. Grounds, pool & private beach also all very nice. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever back in this part of Italy. The hotel is also quite easy to find in Santa Maria & there is plenty of parking in the grounds of the hotel if you have a hire car. The Palazzo is also very close to the town - a 5 minute stroll to the centre with multiple cafes, bars & restaurants to choose from. In addition, I loved having breakfast & lunch outside, in the hotel gardens, under the canopies, overlooking the sea each day, the outdoor "spritzing fans" being very welcome due to the heat. Thank you for a great stay..."

"I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful villa. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The villa itself is absolutely stunning. It was incredibly spacious, so clean, beautifully maintained, and decorated with so much charm and vibrant Italian style. It had everything we needed and more. Every bedroom had its own generously sized bathroom, which was such an amazing feature and made the home so comfortable for our entire family. The wonderful woman who came each day to help clean and tidy up was incredibly sweet and kind and made our stay even more comfortable. The owner also recommended two amazing personal chefs, the sweetest women, who prepared dinner for us a couple of nights, and the meals and experience were fantastic! It was such a special addition to our stay.The outdoor space was equally breathtaking. The beautifully maintained grounds, gorgeous patio, and incredible pool truly made it feel like our own private Italian oasis. And the sunsets were absolutely spectacular!The location was also fantastic. We were just minutes from the beach by car and had easy access to everything we needed, including great restaurants, piazzas, and more.This villa truly made our summer vacation in Italy with family so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would come back again and again without hesitation, in fact, we’re already talking about our next visit! A beautiful Italian oasis and an unforgettable stay!"

"Lovely location set amongst the hills with great views. The location proved to be very relaxing, with gardens and a fantastic swimming pool.All rooms were comfortable with effective air conditioning which took care of the 35 degrees temperatures.Our hosts were lovely, there is needed and always helpful."
